150, 000 miles and the car was driven HARD! So, I would say it lasted just fine!
People race these, rev them up, do burnouts, hold it in 1sts, down shift at higher rpms etc!
They drive these different than a Toyota owner who gently presses the gas pedal, never revs them or never does a burnout because 95% plus majority of Toyota's cant! Yes, Supra's can but those are rare.
Tire pressure is on because the tire is low. Windows are cracked not because of cheap glass. Glass is very thick on these cars!
My Uncle who ran 13. 40 in the 1/4 with his 2014 Charger RT, car drives perfect, still has power it ran 13. 40's 105 mph RT track pack, so lower rear differential gears not the 2. 81's most have. Car runs perfect and looks new with just about 200, 000 miles. Yes at 180, 000 he did the lifters but like a Toyota at certain mileage you replace parts. His Camry had a new head at 155, 000 miles, so no big deal! Both cars are reliable and run well, but need maint and expensive repairs. So far the only thing the Charger cost more in was the new price and it takes more gas. 16 city and 26 highway, but then its heavier and bigger and quick! Toyota had a few problems when new and needed a head gasket and no it never over heated! Had a new rad at 130, 000 new waterpump and car never heated up(radiator housing cracked.
Funny, my family has more Chrysler's, Toyota's out of anything else, sure some have problems some dont. For each make! Remember higher mileage you will get problems with any car. Even a Toyota owner can drive the hell out of their Corolla and at 90, 000 it burns oil, rattles, shakes and trans slips. Worked at a Toyota dealer for a few years and seen them! Tundra's dont buy engines are junk! Cam/lifters always fail early!

Scotty is right, as much as I hate to admit it, these chargers are pure junk. I purchased a 2014 Dodge Charger RT back in 2016 used with 38, 000 miles on it. Ran good for about 3k miles then I started getting a weird loss of power in 2nd gear which triggered the check engine light, took it to an independent shop, they said it was most likely due to a bad batch of fuel, so I said ok cool, they reset the light and I was on my way, 4 days later the same problem occurred, this time I took it to the dealership they diagnosed it as a faulty o2 sensor, cool I let them change it and i was on my way. about a wee kand a half later not only did the CEL come back on, but 2 days prior the airbag light suddenly came on, went back to the dealership and they said the airbag light was due to a faulty seat sensor (I chose not to fix it cuz they said I would have to leave the charger there for a few days and I was low on money at that point due to bills, but they fixed the CEL on their own dime since I was just there for the same problem. The CEL came back on again after another week, this time I just decided to drive it as is, and the light ended up going off on its own after maybe 3 days but would come back on shortly after. I ended up selling that charger 7 months after that. The charger is alot of fun, but it comes with alot of silly problems. Hopefully FCA get their act together.

I got an 05 Dakota Quad cab V6, 3. 7 engine with 200, 000+ miles on it. 3 years after I got it I was t boned like summer 08. girl ran a stop sign. took out my rear passenger wheel, breaking my axel in the process. Presumably it was fixed through insurance but I always felt that ever since I would experience more issues with it than had I never gotten hit in the first place. It always nagged me that it could be the case. Well, 2012 comes along and I had to have my transmission rebuilt because well. was having issues there. changed the thermostat a few times since I ve had it. at some point needed to have a new radiator installed. Also had to fully change my shocks maybe 2009. gone through my brakes a bunch. possibly the biggest thing a lot of brake issues. since I was able to get a new car last year it s been put to the side. I ll turn it on and it sounds good but definitely needs a whole new braking system. the way the brake hoses are bent one that I noticed had cracked and been leaking fluid. I noticed it would be sprayed all over the side of the wheel on the driveway. Another thing I ve had an issue with was my passenger side strut making a clunking noise whenever I or the passenger got on or off. Had to get that fixed. Put a lot of money into that truck. very frustrating.

My family always buys new Mopar, and usually always have had some major issue. Mom gets the Grand Cherokees, dad gets the Rams.
1995 Grand Cherokee needed Transmission replaced under warranty, 2002 Dodge Ram needed rear main seal replaced under warranty (along with electrical issues in the mirrors, windows, and weak door hinge issues, rusting bed, 2004 Grand Cherokee needed engine replaced under warranty, 2010 Dodge Ram Laramie had this exact issue this Charger in the video, interior physically falling apart, heater didnt work anymore, and it had only 80k miles (oh yeah, and rusting. Now, mom's 2014 Grand Cherokee has a few electrical gremlins with the memory seat, rear hatch button, back up camera hesitation, and leather peeling off the steering wheel at 40k miles.
Yet, still a Mopar family. Brand new Ram Rebel in the driveway now.
Edit: on the flipside, back in the day, my 1995 Wrangler 4-cylinder was pretty reliable, had for 90k miles, and currently, my 2015 Wrangler 3. 6l V6 has been trouble free since new, and is at 80k miles, lifted 4 inches with 35 inch tires for the last 25k miles.

idk if you read these messages, there are always thousands of responses. I enjoy your hands-on videos, but notice- like the news media, the huge bias toward brands. It doesn't matter if it's a beat up Toyota, Dodge, Honda. whatever, if they have the same problem, if it's a Toyota, you make it seem like a fault of something other than the manufacturer, but if it's a Dodge or Chrysler, it's all the bad quality of the manufacturer. I understand that most new cars are all crap, but whatever. The bias is a bit of a turn-off so to speak, but believe me I'm no Dodge fan-boy.
Also, what transmission was in that? Around that time, it may have been a NAG1 transmission, which was made by Mercedes Benz in Germany. They're pretty good. the ZF8, while smooth and boastful now. has a plastic transmission pan, which may prove it's quality in the long run pretty soon.

My uncle and my cousin have been working on chargers for more than 10 years taking care of the fleets of a bank and those guys push the v8s to the limit, and they've always told me that the chargers are one of the greatest cars they've ever seen and as long as you take tare of them, you shouldn't have any problems. This charger's problems aren't the car itself, the problem is the owner.
I actually got a sweet deal buying a 2009 charger from them and it is in better shape than many 3, 4, 5 year-old cars I've seen.
Hemi for live, just some TLC and thry shouldn't have any mayor problems, and that is a fact!

I have a 79 Dodge B300 that keeps trying to over heat. It mostly runs on that 3/4 line on the temperature gauge but it has gone higher and causes me a bit a stress. I have changed the upper and lower hoses, the thermostat and recently did a flush. A couple people have suggested electrical issues. In a van this old are there electrical things that can cause it to over heat? I am thinking about swapping the water pump, but it looks like a bigger pain then it was when I did a water pump on a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I've tried asking using that maven forum thing and I can't get it to work.

I can only afford used vehicles, and let me tell you that barely anyone treats a car like it's supposed to be treated. Many are ill-informed on proper maintenance, some smoke inside the car thus burning holes in the carpet and seats, they don't watch where they put things, which causes dents and other body damage, and in the case of my Chevy Cruze, with it being a 1. 4l turbocharged engine, the previous owner ran it like a tuned Lamborghini. There needs to be a requirement to take a care class before anyone can buy their next vehicle.

U see I respect scotty but he talks from his own experience
If u want to buy a car u dont go and ask 1 guy
Heck my mechanic has at least 2 Toyotas broken down in front of his shop
If I asked him what to buy he'd say dont buy Toyota's
If u want to buy a car ask owners/reviewers/more than 1 mechanic
And it depends on the owner
My uncle had a Toyota landcruser that caught on fire, the reason was the stressed the engine too much cuz he always drives 190+ km/h on the highway and offroads a lot
