I'm Dead Serious, Stop Buying Cars with This Transmission
video description
I have a 2015 Lincoln MKC, 2. 0L Ecoboost with 60, 000 miles. Recently check engine light appeared and shows code P1450, Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum. I ruled out the fuel intake compartment and online info suggests an easy fix by replacing the Canister Purge Valve but this particular engine has 2 possible fixes. It's either the purge valve in the engine compartment or the Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid found next to the gas tank under the car. Would hate to purchase both if not needed. What's your professional opinion?
Thanks,
Phil

Hello Sir, I'm your regular watcher, please help me to solve my issue, I have 2015 Acura MDX, I got wheels balanced and rotated last week. After that the car started vibrating as if a wheel is wobbling, I checked back with mechanics he did balancing again and checked if any rim is bent which was not the case. The car still hops at highway speed.
I showed it to other mechanic he didn't found any issue with anything either.
The way car is driving at highway speed is very annoying to me, please suggest what should I do in this case.
Thanks in advance

planned obsolescence: being most steel is maned through china, go figure, also, computers can never interface with metal, here is why, computers are a software configured to do a certain thing, and it always fails. plus, the steel mined comes from chins, so, its a built in failure, again, planned obsolescence, we are entering a NWO as spoken of back in 63 when kennedy spoke of it, as well as September 11 1991 from skull and bonesman bush. that being said, we are at the mercy of what we can give and take. THINK SMART.

My wife had a 2007 Ford Freestyle and it was having shifting/ lunging issues, Ford did a software update which actually fixed the issue. well at least for this car. Far too many folks had CVT failure and Ford actually ignored the issue and there was an effort for a class-action lawsuit that went nowhere. BTW the entire time we owned the car NO dealership would do a fluid change on the CVT, we sold the car last year to a mechanic when it started having fuel issues.

Hey Scotty, my dad lets me drive his truck, it s a 2000 k2500, a well know truck, but it has started to rev down and then rev up in drive and reverse, but not in park or neutral. Could it be a sticky throttle cable or the throttle body intake needing to be cleaned? It only has 23, 000 miles. Thanks! EDIT: also should the transmission fluid be changed in that truck? I don t think it s dirty but it would probably be bad to let it be that old. Wouldn t it?

It doesn t make sense to me how dual clutch transmissions have been so unreliable. They re so simple. Select the gear, then engage one clutch. It can preselect the next gear, so all it has to do to shift is release clutch 1 and press clutch 2. There should be automatic sensors to sense where the bite point is on a new clutch. It shouldn t be as complicated as it is

Hi Scotty, thanks again for this on transmissions. I have an 05 Toyota Matrix XR - 233, 000kms, in spite of changing the oils regularly my gearbox has a very noisy sound. It seems this is usual for the Matrix, when I checked online and Toyota denies any problem, yet it is quite common. What is the real problem, it seems this is a latent defect. thanks

Nissan CVT's are junk. We had a 2014 Pathfinder and had to deal with all that crap, had to trade it in at 65K miles due to the constant problems with transmission and junk plastic interior parts that kept breaking. Have had a 2016 Buick Enclave ever since and zero problems, even now at 63K miles.
