This Stupid Device Will Double Your Gas Mileage? MPG: Unless you physically change the way the fuel is delivered to the cylinders, you will never see any meaningful MPG gains. The Fuel injectors, fuel pump, certain sensors, and the computer in your car are there to keep your car running only as efficiently as the auto manufacturer designed it, and set it for, and we all know just how inefficient that tends to be. Only when you begin to see your car as the sabotaged piece of technology that it is, is when you will really begin to think out of the box, and move towards modifications that can really make a difference in MPG. Big oil and Big Auto are in it for the money, and giving you an all-gasoline car that gets 90 MPG would not benefit them at all. That is why they have suppressed and kept certain technologies tucked away for many, many years now. Look up such names as Stanley Myers, Tom Ogle and Charles Pogue. Their stories are real. It is a fact that Big Oil and Big Auto have suppressed internal combustion engine technologies to ensure that their pockets remain lined with your money. Don't allow yourself to be kept ignorant on this subject. Educate yourself.

My opinion on gadgets you plug in to increase gas mileage, nope. If you want better gas mileage don't stick your foot in the gas pedal all the time, keep your tires aired up to the proper pressure. Love my 2007 Toyota Avalon, bought her in 2009 still in factory warranty, currently have 84k miles. I've done all the scheduled maintenance on her, no breakdowns yet. Gets around 22 mpg around town, and 30 on the highway. Plenty of power and comfort for me. Never gonna put any aftermarket do dad's on her. Only oem parts. I did make one modification though, I took off the huge plastic cover on the engine. I wanna see that 3. 5 L beauty, not some hunk of plastic.

Many moons ago they said a car was toast at 100k miles, then for a while it was, 100k miles on a car is still breaking it in, and now it seems like we're back to the old days where 100k miles is a lot (apparently, unless it's a Toyota or Honda. This makes buying a used a car very difficult because finding decently priced cars with lower mileage is very hard. Every used car I seem to come across has 100k or close to 100k. And even then the prices are steep. I'm looking at pre-owned MDX's and everything under 20k has close to 100k miles on and is 7-8 years old! It's really crazy!

Scotty, why does my car keep leaking fuel? I fill it up and drive it around, and the gas gauge keeps going down as I drive. As long as I park it and never start it, the gauge never moves. Where does the fuel keep going? Can't they make a car that doesn't constantly run out of gas? Also, my car's oil keeps getting black as I drive. If I never drive the car, the oil never goes bad. Also also, my car keeps polluting out of the exhaust pipe. Why don't the car makers just plug up the exhaust from the factory to stop the cars polluting?

Hi Scotty, i bought a dodge ram 2005 brand new. 5. 7 hemi. 4x4. It now has 154, 000 miles. Has brand new radiator. A/C only cools air when moving. Had system checked, no leaks. Holds pressure. What do you think is wrong? Compressor does on/off like its supposed to. Maybe a clogged line? Even had freon drained and new put in. Fan works fine as well as heat. Just only blows cold air when moving. HELP!

Hey Scotty I m looking to get a reliable daily with some pep to it. Something that would look nice with some cheap rims. I m really considering a 2009 Scion TC. It s just to work commute but if I m spending 5000 on something I d like to be able to look back it every-time I walk away (animal laughs) he he he anyways is there others to consider? Are the older 06-10 Mazda reliable?

Hey Scotty, I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 with 90, 000 miles and it made a bubbling sound a few days ago from I think the coolant reservoir and now my coolant temperature gauge will randomly go up when I begin driving the car but goes back to normal most of the time. It hasn't made the noise since and my coolant reservoir still has coolant, what can it be?

You're not kidding about that stretched shifter cable. Mine stretched on my manual Fiat 500. I got so frustrated with it one day I snapped the cable in half and thought I roached the transmission and I kinda lost my hit. Thankfully I was able to replace the cable, that was an awful job. Chrysler is a vindictive company that hates mechanics.

Thanks for taking time to do these. Hey Scotty I have a 2008 Ford Ranger and it has 114k miles. I had the transmission fluid drained twice (not flushed) at 50k and was wondering should I just keep doing this and is 50k miles often enough or do I need to flush it or change more often? Also when should you flush your coolant system?
