I Ranked All Asian Car Brands from Worst to Best
video description
- Suzuki ( underpowered garbage )
- Nissan (quality decreased when Renault took over + transmission issues; Infinity included)
- Mitsubishi (burns oil; transmission issues; lacks Japanese stereotypical quality)
- Subaru (cons - boxer engine issues - 3 cylinders on each side; pros - improving in quality)
- Hyundai/Kia/Genesis (cons - previous engine issues and engine rebuild flaws; 5x the wear with used car pros - good pre 100k miles)
- Mazda (major quality improvements; utilizing Toyota facilities)
- Honda/Acura (major improvements from transmission and fluid integration issues; their smaller vehicles are better; low maintenance and consistent quality cons - valves need adjusting over time)
- Toyota/Lexus (fuel pump via external company repairs conducted; learn from mistakes; consistent quality)

Mr.
Rod Millen and the Toyota Tacoma still holds the record for pikes peak hill climb (old course) and it looks like it will never be broken. That's a badass Tacoma racing truck! Rod's son Rhys had a racing Toyota Celica however has a all wheel drive racing drivetrain from Weismann Transmission (American Company, unfortunately a major underdog) to support the 1000hp the Racing Toyota engine makes. Toyotas are awesome vehicles and when paired with an outstanding Motorsports company, it's basically a Toyota on Steroids!

Your out of your mind, we had a 94 Diamante LS and that was one of the best car and my favorite cars that we owned, until my step mother totalled it 10 years later in 04, I grew up in that car and took us everywhere and on family vacations from new york to florida and atlanta every other summer. Never left us stranded and no major mechanical issues until my father gave it to my step mother when he got his durango in 98.

You also missed a thing about Subarus, they have so many electrical problems, its not even funny. The other day I wanted to close my sunroof, and it would get stuck in this one position, and I had to restart the car in order for it to close. The power windows also get stuck. It had trouble starting up a couple times also, and its fairly new, 4 years old with 30k miles. In my opinion they should've been ranked even worse.

My dad had a Dodge Colt and those were made by Mitsubishi. The engine was stout but the body and interior weren't that good. This will probably get the Fast & the Furious Honda fan boys livid but I've found Hondas to be kind of overhyped and overrated. Their engines are good but the rest of the car is just average. I've found Toyotas to be very well made all around.

I'd say Chevrolet is the worst Asian car brand. Only reason I say that is because a good majority of their vehicles are made in South Korea. The CHEAPEST new car you can buy in Canada now is the Chevrolet Spark. Used to be the Nissan Micra, but with all the dealer sales the Spark is the cheapest, and is probably LESS reliable than the Micra.

I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer w/2. 4L inline 4 non-turbo. It's a 5 speed manual made by AISIN. It's not the smoothest ride, but it's fun for front wheel drive. That's the only Mitsubishi I would buy, glad I got it, but honestly will upgrade to something else in the near future. Nonetheless, it's been really reliable and easy to work on.

I had a Mitsubishi Cordia Turbo in the 80s and kind of snazzy-looking for the time. Fun car when the turbo kicked in. But yeah, so many problems after a couple of years. So agree with Scotty about them. Mitsubishi isn't really into cars, it's a giant industrial conglomerate. But they did make a good fighter plane way back in the day.

I had a 1981 Celica Supra. What a pile of crap! It was an endless money pit when it aged. I had to sell it to a sucker of a grad student at college because I couldn't take it home. The thing wouldn't pass an emissions test up in the Chicago area.
The day I sold the turd, the driver's door flew open when I took a right turn.
