Clogged filters/intakes definitely can keep an engine from running, I bought an air compressor that would only build to 20 PSI so I took it apart to look at the reed valves and there was what must have been a dusty, caked hornet's nest in the cylinder head since the air filter was broken off. After I cleaned it out it ran just fine minus it seeming a little rough which I can fix in the future.

Hi Scotty, I have a 2007 Hyundai ELANTRA that shut off I was driving a couple months ago and when I try to start it there s no sound and no crank when I turn the key. I ve had the battery and the fuel pump replaced and still won t start. None of the electrical things are working either such as the windows or lock button on the key. Do you have any suggestions? i

I appreciate all your advice, and the amount of work you've put into these videos over the years Scotty, but when you retire you could be a comedian, because you constantly make me laugh just listening to you, and your hand movements are great, and they explained the bits of the videos I didn't understand.

I have a 08 accord. Starter went at 189k miles. Replaced with aftermarket starter. Six months later engine light flashing. Misfire codes. Limp mode. Installed genuine Honda starter. Still misfiring. Cleared codes did a ckp relearn and car is running fine.

Could someone tell me why people rev their engines often like crazy right after startup? Let alone people revving cold engines. Why? You really don't want to do that.
