I want a Russian UAZ 452 loaf Mini-Van. Everything on them is simple. They are made so anyone can work on them. They have slide back windows like the old split windshield VW Vans had, which the Russian's copied. No dash padding to crack and fade. Everything in the dash is accessible and removes from the front. Leaf spring suspension front and rear so no complications there. They come with 4 wheel drive so you can take them anywhere, which is needed in Russia. Towing one is easy. The front hub's have lock out hubs and the rear differential drive shafts are removed by unbolting a flange on the hub and pulling them out disconnecting the drive train. A cover plate bolt's on to seal up the rear axle. If they were imported to North America you would see them being towed behind every RV. They would also be an instant hit in the Off Road community.

Hello Scotty, From 2005 to 2008, I had a 2000 Malibu. It had 36, 000 miles on it, however it really gave me hard times, from changing the water pump to persistent rear squeeking noise, which made me change the struts then the strut mounts and kept going on though. Then the unbelievable, during the cold weather (freezing Ohio winter) the dashboard and its built-in computer chip used to act up. So, all gauges kept dancing, head lights stopped working, AC and ventilation fans stopped working. I had to change the dashboard twice to avoide the pain, and reinstalled the original one when I sold the car.

Well, good. Am I surprised? Nope Don't know why you're bashing GM, but the entire industry's headed that way. Ford just came out with a Power Wagon fighter, and that will top out at around 135k, and that's with a new gas V8 (can't imagine how much the 6. 7 will cost. Soon, Toyota will come out with a 70k truck, and that's the starting price for a Double Cab Sr5 2wd model, and will only go up from there. They don't have that ugly regular cab or a base model anymore. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Goodbye sub 25k trucks.

Scotty, love those signature pop-ups when you laugh; youll be remembered by them Now, I know you folks over there dont have the Toyota Hilux, but Im pretty sure you have a valid opinion about Toyotas transmissions. Im a manual guy, and know from experience that the standard version of the Hilux is extremely reliable and so is its heavy-duty clutch; but, lately, people have been praising the automatic. Am I biased, still living in the past -or is the automatic just as durable for off-roading?

Can any mechanics out there help me with an A/C diagnosis issue? 2007 Civic. When the car is cold and you start it, the A/C works fine, but 15 miles down the road it blows warm, and it won't blow cold until the car has been parked and cooled down all the way. There are no obstructions to the radiators. Both fans are on when the A/C is on. I tested it in the driveway and I could feel the low pressure side slowly go from pretty cold to barely cool over time. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hello to Scotty from French Canada Can you help me out my problem? 2014 Honda Fit front passenger wheel is 10C hotter than driver side. On my third caliper now with Akebono pads with grease like you showed. Drives and corners perfect, brakes perfect, but I fear caliper will fry again. I also changed the brake hose. When I lift the front side of the car up and put it into drive, the left spins fast, but the right spins hesitantly, even without the tire.

It's an old marketing trick. Raising the MSRP to a ridiculous level, and allowing you to purchase the truck at 30% off MSRP, makes you feel like you really got a super great deal. On the other hand, you wouldn't feel special buying that same truck for the same 70, 000 if it had only listed for 90, 000. In that case, you only got 22. 2% off list. The suits that occupy the top floor at G. M. should feel ashamed, not proud of themselves.

Remember in the mid-70s when Toyota & Datsun made the small utilitarian pickup truck? Didn't have power anything, practical bed with tie downs on the outside? As basic a vehicle as you could get. If they would start selling those again at a fair price, they would sell millions of them. GM is making that truck for the upper 1% of income earners as that's the only people that could truly afford to buy one.

Unfortunately, trucks are a thing of the past. They used to be super basic and cheap and built to work. Now they're a luxury suv with a bench on the back for maybe a cooler or two. Most of these trucks don't even have LT tires on them they have car tires. smh with 20 chrome rims. I won't do it, I have a 1951 4400 Chevy that will haul anything and it's a real truck, only downside is it tops out at 45mph.
