He described how the front end can shake when in drive, and it being able to go away by rotating the tires in most cases. I have a 93 ford ranger that the front passenger side wheel seems to not shake until i get up to a certain speed, then it begins to shake, until i get it up to nearly highways speed. Tried getting a couple local garages to fix that, and when trying to show them the shaking it does, it didn't seem to happen while they were in the passenger seat, as if weight on that side seems to make the problem not observable to them. So, the damn thing sits parked in the garage, for years now. Well, also because the gas tank filler pipe seems to cause gas to spill under the truck due to it rusting, and not wanting to sink a grand into repairing that, I went and bought some 2 part patching clay that is advertised for fixing holes in gas tanks, lol. Anyone know why the front passenger side wheel shakes like it does? I'll order the correct part if needed. Thanx tons in advance. And honda, if you are reading this, stop being cheapo with sealing the body metals. I have a 2010 insight that should not be rusting like a lada on the rocker panels and one rear side door already. You should be looking at your expensive shoes to display exacting guilt

ScottyI first caught your videos about a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed increasing my automotive knowledge & auto common sense. I wanted to ask you about an issue Im having (sometimes) when starting my car. I bought my 2009 Pontiac G6 about 6 months ago and overall Im happy with my purchase esp over my 2005 Nissan Altima S and before that my 2002 Honda Accord each of which I had only about 6 months each. Anyways when starting up it normally turns over real quick but when needing a little assist and I press on the gas, it def gets the job done but there is an intense gas smell from the vents. In the past, when giving my cars a little gas, I never noticed any aroma. What could this be? and should I be concerned? Thanks for yours response Roger Hoc hreiter

I've been doing a lot of research (including watching all of your videos) and I'm HIGHLY interested in getting a 2019 (maybe 2020 if I wait a little longer) Honda Civic Si sedan. I'm a big fan of the standard transmission and I feel like it's the best bang for your buck at less than 25, 000. 00 And yeah yeah yeah people, I've seen his video about the oil dilution problem with the Earth Dreams Technology. I have no problem changing the oil every 5, 000 instead of every 10, 000. I've only put 25, 000 miles on my truck in the last 4 years. I don't drive that much. (Because I put about 75, 000 a year on my semi. I just feel it's the best combination of value, style, pep, and practicality.

Scotty's opening point about dealerships not fixing problems in badly made, badly finished cars & saying they're all like that is an excellent one. Dealerships in the UK have always done the exact same thing In the UK our 'consumer rights' are usually pretty well looked after. so what is it that allows car dealers of all sorts, and the motor trade in general, to get away with this sort of malpractice? When are we going to get to grips with these criminals, and how? The UK motor trade governing bodies are, of course, complicit & and should be viewed with equal contempt

I had a recall for the catalytic converter on my car. Nothing serious, the stock one was failing federal emissions standards. I had 128k on my Avenger when I had the recall repair performed. I'm glad for the recall, most cats say they are only good for 100k miles or 10 years. It all depends of course. Ultimately I saved a few hundred bucks and I know now that my vehicle will pass emissions. I have a 2012 Avenger and am not sure if it even needs testing, but I know I'm good on it haha

Scotty, I own a 2006 Honda Civic EX-L, 5-speed automatic. I am the original owner and the car has always been mechanically sound. The paint on the car is a disaster. The Clearcoat is peeling all over. My question is, the car is 13 years old with 235k miles on it. Should I spend the money and have it repainted or should I use the money to put down on a new Civic? Car has no other problems, Ive done all the required maintenance by the manual. Thanks.

Scotty, my dad bought a used '99 BMW Z3 Roadster a couple of years ago. He hasn't changed the oil since he bought it so I'm going to do it myself, but the mechanic he bought it from, who has also been taking care of the car since it was new, put the wrong oil in. He used 0W-40 when it takes 5w-30. It's been running fine on the wrong oil, but should I stick with it or switch to the recommended grade? Thanks: )

Bought a new 1998 S10 long ago, it used a quart of oil on 800 miles. Went to the dealer, LOL he said Chevrolet expects that. Not 2 months later a recall came out. Had to go back and have something fixed in the valve cover. Problem solved. Of course I know a new car shouldn't use oil at least they had to fix it. my wife has 2005 Pontiac vibe over 300k miles has not used a drop of oil to this date.

I am thinking about getting a 2008 Scion tC sports coupe (2. 4 L) or a 2017 Buick Cascada convertible (1. 6 L turbocharged) for my ideas of a first vehicle, both four-cylinder engines and both automatics - regular four-speed (tC) or six-speed with sport (manual) mode (Cascada. What are your thoughts on these vehicles? Are they reliable and fuel-efficient? It could be great vehicles all-year-round.
