Heres Why Dodge Rams are Crap Shaun Smith: Me, A Dodge Owner. I've bought transmissions, had a transmission replaced under warranty, taken it in endlessly for SBs on the ignition switch, replaced a leaking AC coil, replaced almost every hose in the engine compartment that has a crimped metal to rubber connection (they all leak, shocks are bad and the intake manifold leaks and the engine ingested coolant until it was replaced. Not bad for 112k.

It is a shame that quality automobiles & vehicles are extinct. A shame. A real shame. I am happy for my ole 91 geo metro mobile 79 gmc & 99 chevy blazer. Atleast they work. All be it not perfect in a mechanical stand point. But from my standpoint they work. I am glad we have you Mr Kilmer. So you can tell us all about the junk out there that we the people definitely need to avoid. Sad we don't have a lot of honast mechanics anymore. A good honast mechanic is super rare to come by nowadays. Thank you Mr Scotty Kilmer for exposing all those evil manufactures out there. Anyways I am rambling. Please have a blessed wonderful day.

Not only do I enjoy your videos, I enjoy your problem solving. I am especially glad to hear you tell people to be logical. I was taught by my father for 11 years to work on cars and then in college I took a course in logic. It took several more years for me to realize that the logic of mechanics was also the logic of my profession. The condensed formula from the logic course is: If P then Q. If not P then not Q. P > Q; < P < Q. It works for everything. Thanks, The old professor

Tundra is not better. F150 has 10 speed transmission plus 3. 0 diesel available while tundra still has 6 speed and only gasoline engine. Diesel is far superior. More torque, more efficient, while gasoline truck has terrible mpg when towing and turning the ac on unlike the diesel. Even if diesel engine is louder but this is a truck not a luxury car. And you can install a sound insulation-materials

Same thing happened too my moms van, we changed everything from the ecu to the neutral safety switch. about two months ago I got curious and put a new computer and checked the ignition switch fuse. fuse was blown, so what happened was, we changed the battery like 3 times and the ecu a total of 4 times and it managed blowing the ignition fuse after we checked the fuses

At 2: 45 I was always taught that you remove the negative first when disconnecting at battery and the negative goes on LAST when installing a battery. - have I been doing it wrong all these years. Maybe thats why Scotty finds so many cars problems that include fried computers - he puts the positive on after the negative

Scotty I normally agree and the other problems with this ram do show how many issues they have as with many vehicles it seems the starter just went bad on this I've had plenty of other vehicles do the same thing not necessarily a dodge ram issue its something that just happens

So that worthless FOB had nothing to do with starting. You sure drove that one in the ground. I am sure if you has that many miles on any other truck that was neglected it would have the same problems. And you do not need a large starter if you use strong magnets.

Love how Scotty picks the most neglected looking RAM possible that looks like it was a flood victim and then rags on it. Even better, the fan base that can't even change their own oil but believe whatever he says as long as it's bashing Chrysler and GM.

I had 1 Dodge pickup in my life, transmission seal went on at 41, 000 miles, 98, 000 transmission was completely shot and the not to mention the 5 sets of ball joints it went through and the typical dodge body rot. Worse truck I ever owned.
