I like Scotty and I think he is honest. But, Hyundai/Kia have really improved their build quality. Scotty recently ripped apart a 2008 Kia sportage and their is no doubt that Kia were made cheaper in the past. My wife has a 2012 hyundai Tucson and we have 100k on it without a single problem. I just test drove a Santa Fe over the week end and it appears to be the best interior quality of all mid-size SUVs. So, with time and when he starts to work on some of the newer models, my bet is that Scotty will come around on the newer hyundai/Kias.

I am retired from Chrysler before it was Fiat. Worked there for 24 years. I currently own 4 Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep vehicles with high miles, one being a PT Cruiser and all are running well. These are all 2000 to 2003 vintage. They are not all crap like you paint the picture. I do my own work to keep the maintenance up on them. Neverless I like your videos and information.

Hey Scotty I own a 2002 eclipse gt with 170k Miles. Were the earlier mitsus made a little better? I had cylinder 6 go out on me and needed to be rebuilt but other than that its been a tank. Drove from Wisconsin to California with it and Im about to drove it back. Any tips to make sure it makes it there in one piece?

Some Fiats are built like tanks and others are complete garbage. The Jeep Renegade (which is a fiat panda) is a total dumpster fire in terms of build quality, but the 500 they sell here in the U. S. is a really solid car. You can tune it close to 300hp without any problems. Why do you think Scotty never works on them

When I was young Honda made some motorbikes. These if I remember right had geared cams, but the cams were made of chocolate. To their credit, those engine failures seemed to hurt Honda to a point where they now commit Hari-Kari rather than ship any bad engines. Kudos on them for this.

Scotty I watch all your videos and this one pulled me in fast with thumbnail with all those car comps but you left off Hyundai. At the end of the video I heard you say top 5 and worst 5 but was wondering what you thought of the Hyundai brand like older and more recent years.

Toyota bodies are a hell of a lot better today than in the 80s motor and transmissions are the same but back in the day if you owned a Toyota you were driving down the road with a motor and transmission the bodies rotted right off here in Canadas winter's

i can say i was not a toyota fan befor but after i got my little brother's corolla a E11 1998 model and have run over 224000 Km i can say is god car i know self 4EFE 1. 3 liter is a slow engine and boring
