everytime i watch a scotty video, i find that i miss everything. like, i miss the point. i sit here and listen, but by the end of the video i have absolutely nothing to take from it ever. its weird that he just repeats the same exact thing about hondas and toyotas and chrysler every single video and he never even talks about the thing the video is about. all his how to fix this videos are totally uninformative for any vehicle, even the specific one he is working on, because he cuts out and skips so much there is just no content. its all just cut to his opinion on the matter instead of information of any kind for someone like me who comes to the videos with eagerness to learn about what the title of the video is. i stopped watching all his videos now because they are seriously devoid of content compared to his old stuff that he put out years ago. every video of his now is just half assed slapped together to keep the videos coming and the money rolling in. he retired years ago but he stays because why leave a fanbase so big that nets you so much money every month still even after all those times he half assed it. he got used to half assing his videos because they were good enough there was no reason and way too hard to put in the effort of recording a job fixing someones car. sad to see the way your heroes go out. you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villian.

Scotty isn't biased against American cars. he's biased against cheaply made cars. If America seems to have a preponderance of shitty cars. don't get mad at him. get mad at the manufacturers. Ford axed their car production because the big 3 squeezed every dime out of the North American consumer. to the detriment of long-term sustainability. What happens when a monopoly has free reign over the market. Japan had to win hearts and minds with QUALITY. That's why Scotty loves their products.

I read that Johnson Controls sold their battery division last year to one of those holding companies, which usually does not bode well for most products. I had a Sears Plus battery in my 1984 Ford Ranger for fourteen years. When I realized how old it was I replaced it before winter, but it still worked. It was made by Johnson Controls, but then Sears switched manufacturers and they weren't as good after that.

Dougs looking out for his revenue stream - journalists have to write a puff piece about virtually every car in current production or else he/she may get blackballed from the corporate events where you get comped room and board, some chotchky gift bag and the access to shoot content. His financial freedom is more important that his honesty which why journalism is dead in this country, buyer beware.

I kinda lean more on what Scotty says. Jeep Gladiator is more like a fun toy, like a Lamborghini. Right now ppl only want to own it because it's the first jeep truck in over 20 years For that price I wait to buy it used after 2 or 3 years. Let's the price drop in half if you really want it. 70K you can buy a real truck with real power. Lease it or buy it used

As a past Jeep owner/lover (Sahara YJ, Islander YJ, 90s Cherokee Ltd and a Wagoneer 2. I will not/would not consider/recommend these latest Jeeps, especially the Gladiator. Sure, its neat, but that neatness will disappear after youve wasted hours of time waiting (or even talking to Ser. advisors) in a Jeep/Chrysler service department waiting room

Hey Scotty I just got a Toyota Matrix and they sold me a lemon but it still runs perfectly fine. It's just that it needs a new altenater bearing and a cadilac converter and a fender liner. What do you suggest we do? We tried taking it up to the dealer and they said Ah nah we don't deal with that stuff.

I just watched the first five minutes or something of a guy bragging about how great his Gladiator is and he just mentions in passing, like, yeah, I'm tooling along at 60 and the transmission can't decide what gear to select -- but, you know, as a lawn ornament it's totally the BOMB lol.

There's two types of car buyers. Someone who wants longevity and someone who wants something that perfectly fits them. If I want longevity I'd love a manual Corolla hatch. If I want something to make me excited everytime I drive it I'd drive a performance Audi or Challenger or something.
