Corvette C8 - I Told You About This Car But Nobody Listened #1 Matthew: Hey Scotty I have a 2011 Mercedes E350. I bought it used with 60k miles. After driving it around for 8k Miles or so I noticed the transmission downshifting very rough when driving in low speeds. I took it to my mechanic, he said the old owner put the wrong fluid and filter in the transmission. I had my mechanic change the fluid with the proper fluid and now 5k miles later, the same problem came back. What do I do? I know you hate Mercedes but I love this car lol

I get a kick out of Scotty talking about. synthetic oil, that doesn't mean anything. I've been selling Amsoil since 1999 and I know for a fact there's a lot of synthetic oil on the market that are not half as good as petroleum oils, Scotty should know better than this. Then on top of that Scotty doesn't believe in 25 thousand mile oil changes, Amsoil is not in cahoots with the automotive companies they really do care about the customer and the 25000 mile oil changes have been around since 1972 this is not a new idea, but it is an Amsoil exclusive idea. Scotty should also know that Amsoil is the only manufacturer of oil in the entire world that has never been sued by any known engine equipment or automotive manufacturer for warranty violations or causing any kind of engine damage.

Hey Scotty I'm liking the content. I have a Chrysler 300 2005 model, v6 engine, automatic. Ive owned it for 3 years now and last year it started to have this weird issue. Sometimes when I come to a slow stop like at a stop sign or stop light it'll start to rumble and try to correct itself and then just shut off. So I just restart the car and everythings fine after but it would do it again about 2-4 times in a row coming to a slow stop. Other times it would just correct itself and be fine. I have not had it happen in about 3 weeks now. There are no codes for it popping up. I have had a mechanic look at it but he can not figure it out. It could be an electric issue

Scotty I understand youre a very skilled mechanic. Before you start talking smack about the Corvette you must educate yourself and realize that you were showing a ZTK ZR1 which cost over 150, 000 fully loaded and a base model cost 100, 000. The standard Stingray and Grand sport at referred as the 1LT, 2LT & 3LT. The Z06 packages are referred as 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ. Besides to be honest nobody cares about your opinion when it comes to Corvette. Unless youre gonna stick to talking about mechanical defaults and how to fix them because you are good at what you do educate yourself and the different models.

Man I see all these ppl being generous today and I'm out here with a 0. 00 balance waiting on stimulus. Anyone up to venmo me or PayPal or any thing? I'm hurtin bad and could prove it. I hate freaking asking but since people are being generous it would really help anything. Could even pay it back or forward when I get right soon. Venmo alexe414PayPal is paypalDOTmeSLASHalexe414 The dot is obviously a period and the slash is obviously a typical url slash. Cashapp with the money sign before the name is alexx414

This issue with the trim didn't come directly from GM. Those trim panels come from a supplier(probably Adient/Johnson controls. This issue should have been caught at the supplier before being shipped to the OEM (which is GM. Its possible that GM Could have been made aware of it by the supplier and the supplier was allowed to ship the part to prevent a parts shortage. If GM was notified and they allowed the parts to be used knowing of the defect then it's all on them

Even if I was going to spend 60, 000 -90, 000 on a new mid engine C8 Corvette I would not buy a first model year, of anything, especially GM. I have seen good reports from people that have bought them, but they haven't owned them a month or two yet. I seen the stitching issue, and I agree, that is a poor quality issue by GM. Surprise, surprise Wait for a year or two. Besides, if I would plunk down that kind of money for a sports car, I want a manual shift.

If you drove a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Aston, Lotus, Landrover, etc like you could drive a modded out corvette. But I have a feeling you havent OWNED a corvette? I could be wrong. But coming from a C7 owner my self, yea maybe its not a Bentley interior. Its definitely improved. But I didnt buy this car for a Luxury feel. lmao what a joke just like any car it will have issues. Just maybe not as many as others

My Nissan Versa burns one quart of 0w-20 full synthetic oil every 3000 miles so thats ho often I change it it has done that since new and it has less than 30k miles on it I wont take it in for warranty because The last six things that I try to bring it in for that I thought would be under warranty they told me would not be covered under warranty so I just dont care anymore and Im just gonna live with it

A new Corvette will outperform most Ferraris and Lamborghinis three or four times its price people complaining about stitching remember when the race version of a production car had no air conditioning and no radio. Wait until these people who complain get their maintenance bills for a Ferrari or Lamborghini when their new carbon ceramic brakes cost 20 Grand almost a third of the price of a Corvette.
