I've only owned two Chryslers, a 1974 Plymouth Duster 35 years ago with a 318 V8, it ran like a watch had to get rid of it because it started rusting real bad since I lived in NJ at the time. I was given a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 free, same engine but a modernized version of the 318 V8 aka 5. 2 liters. That truck was a piece of shi&. Too many issues to list. You could look at it and see it was built using subpar materials and subpar design. Poor quality is an understatement. Will not own another.

Don't use the starter to purge water from the cylinders. Pull all the spark plugs then put the appropriate big socket on the crankshaft bolt and turn it by hand 3 or 4 full revolutions. If you use the starter there may be enough water in the piston to hydraulic the motor and bend connecting rods. If you do it by hand there will be no problems.

Hi scotty, I believe you answered my question but my mind completely forgot. If I got a squeaky belt and it goes away when sprayed with water, what does it mean is it one of the pulleys? Apologies for the repetition.

Dang Scotty, do you think that 3. 5L Ecoboost is a no-go for the Taurus SHO, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and MKT as well? I know this guy just mentioned the Raptor but does it wear the same on the cars? Any experience with that?

I had an 88 Ford Ranger manual bought brand new and had it until I moved to Vegas back in 97. I put in 570, 000 miles on the engine never rebuild. I had to sell my Ranger because it didnt have A/C and A/C is a must in Vegas.

I'm glad to hear your opinion of the Ford Ranger. I have a 2009 with 2. 3 l four and standard trans. I intend to keep it forever and will it to my kids. (They will have to learn how to drive a stick, however)

hey Scotty can you use your expensive car scanning computer to adjust things in the car not just looking for problems and turning off error codes like to make it run better or better gas mileage. or more power: )
