Railway line Beograd - Novi Sad - Subotica is one of main lines at Serbian Railways. This railway line dominantly goes through plains of northern Serbia (Vojvodina. It goes over hilly part of mountain Fruska Gora and descent to the Danube river bank. One section between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad is under construction due to creating double track line for higher speeds. That means curves realignment of existing railway line, digging two railway tunnel tubes through mountain Fruska Gora and construction of some large viaducts. The parf of this works can be seen at this video. This cabride recorded from EC train 344 (Beograd - Wien Hbf) in the last moments of existence of this single track part of old railway line. From december 2018. main part between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad is closed for train traffic until the construction is completed. Due to the construction of a new section between Stara Pazova and Indjija the trains between Beograd and Novi Sad had turnaround in the Golubinci station (railway line Beograd - Sid. Therefore, in this video, the train is redirected from the main route Beograd - Novi Sad to part of Beograd - Sid railway line. After turnaround the train is returned to the main route. Date of recording: November 2018

Question: On most Balkan stations (Serbian especially, why does the track closest to the station not get used? If you have 3 tracks going through a station for example, track 1 platform that is physically tied to the station and often has the waiting room, rain shelter, etc is not used. Track 2 has a smaller platform that is between Track 1 and Track 2 and is used for passenger loading, and Track 3 will be a bypass track for trains that don't stop. Why does the smaller, farther platform get used for passenger loading and not the main one that is actually a part of the station? Example at 2: 17: 36, but there are many others - there was ample opportunity for the train to use the platform of the station itself, but judging by the rust, the rails are not used at all. Same at 2: 56: 09, 3: 46: 40. Seems like a common theme to not use the closest track.

Thanks for your videos, they helped me to plan my next Balkan-trip. In one month a friend and I visit the railwayline Belgrad-Bar (+Nis-Dimitrovgrad and the Belgrade area. Because of your videos, I found a lot of photo places. I have two questions. Have the series 711 been shut down? (Zajecar area)Did I need a photo approval in Crne Gora and Serbia? Where I can get this? If you see between 15th and 28th June two guys with ladder and camera near the tracks, then you know; -)

Are there any plans, or do you see a time when the route will be upgraded to allow more realistic modern day speeds. The current journey timeprobably puts off a lot of people considering travelling, which is a shame, to say nothing of the economic benefit to the country by virtue of faster transit times, and the prospect of traffic growth both passenger and freight. Enjoyed the video thanks again.

Super video. Imam par pitanja ako nemas nis protiv: 1) rasputnica Sajlovo: pruga sdesna pretpostavljam da dolazi iz Novi Sad teretne. No gdje odlazi pruga nalijevo odmah nakon rasputnice? Isto pitanje za prugu desno od glavne. 2) na samom izlazu iz Vrbasa, pruga koja ide lijevo mi izgleda kao neka jako dugo nekoristena lokalna pruga. Gdje to ide? Prema hr. granici? Tenks

These train videos have become my new obsession. I love the peace I get when watching them. To my fellow anxiety sufferers out there, I suggest watching these while doing breathing exercises. Breath in 4 secs, hold 4 secs, breathe out 4 secs, hold 4 secs, and repeat. God bless all

02: 13Note the track construction. Slab track costs significantly more to build, perhaps as much as 40%, but results in lower total cost over the service life of the railbed. It lasts much longer than conventional cross-tie (sleeper) construction can, with much lower maintenance costs.

Is the train station itself really covered in graffiti? I get not having the money to keep it all shiny and new but how does that even happen? Do kids just stand there in broad daylight in front of God and everybody and spray paint all over the walls?

At the long straight the speeds are very low. I guess this must be a terrible track to ride on and replacement is way overdue. Many rusty tracks and old ruins of factories and railway stations. It is obvious this line has seen better days.
