You have changed my life, Freelee. It took me a while to get it through my head that carbs are my friend. Even when I first went vegan, I was still undereating, trying to see quick results that I thought would be long-term, simply because it was vegan, and i THOUGHT I was doing the right thing. I was too stubborn to accept that you were right about carbs. I have been eating SO much recently, and people keep telling me I'm eating too much fruit, but I have never felt better, or looked better. This is amazing. Thank you!

Facts:
1. We, humans are omnivores
2. We humans have been eating cooked foods for centuries, and lived. If cooked foods was bad, we would have stopped eating it centuries ago.
2. We humans are living longer than we have before on an cooked omnivore's diet with a touch of processed foods thrown in.
3. The US has the greatest group of super centenarians. None on a raw food diet.

Tayla, I have multiple advanced degrees, and I'm willing to learn more and I am grown up to admit when I'm wrong. How about you? Please provide proof that veganism is healthier, by showing one vegan that lived longer than 100 years. Show me one person who was a raw vegan all their life and lived past 75. So far I haven't found one. Have you? Name them and please provide the verified facts.

Hi 12 quille,
One last thing!
Very true! A vegan diet, and any other diet, must be appropriately planned for it to be healthy.
According to the U. S. Centers for Disease Control, in 2009-2010, 69. 2% of Americans were overweight. This demonstrates that a large percentage of omnivores are certainly guilty of not following an appropriately-planned diet.

According to the Psychology Today article, Why Are There So Few Vegetarians, only 0. 8% of Americans are vegan.
However, according to U. S. News & World Report, between 10 and 50 percent of American college women report having binge eaten and then vomited to control their weight.
More omnivores than vegans, therefore, engage in binge-and-purge.

Your so called compassion is just another part of the vegan religion that's not based on logic or facts.
When a mammal, like a lion, feeds on another animal do you say they are not compassionate. What gives you the right to say the same about homo sapiens? And what about starving humans? What gives you the right to claim what's right within nature?

I know too many folks who pretend to be vegans while hiding an emotional disorder called anorexia. They often pretend they are better than most because of their diet.
If you listen to their vegan conservations it revolves around the calorie count. Not true health. Stop fooling yourself and others.
There's nothing natural about this diet.

Although some vegan physicians recommend that vegans take EPA and DHA supplements, these supplements represent only a tiny fraction of a person's daily food intake.
Michael Greger, a prominent vegan physician, recommends that vegans take 250 mg to 500 mg of algae-derived EPA/DHA supplements per day. 500 mg is less than 1/50th of an ounce.

I'm 15 and was diagnosed with an eating disorder. Today my dietician told my parents them are in control of what I eat and I must eat animal products again becuase I won't grow properly if I don't. I will be punished if I don't eat animal products. I am sorry I can no longer be vegan until I'm better, or 18: (
