Hey Everyone! In todays episode of Living Off Grid Jake and I walk a couple miles through bear territory to get water then we Alex: Jake and Nicole, you two are influencing others to become part of this huge movement of self sustainability that is becoming more popular every year worldwide. Keep up the great work, also wanted to ask how do you manage material waste? I too one day want to be off grid, self sufficient, growing my own food, making everything from scratch. Thank you two for your huge sacrifice and for all your videos. I began following you Jake when you were beginning your garden here in Tempe. I went to a few garden tours of yours. I just recently went to Jays home and spoke to him. As soon as I can, I am going to become a patreon. Thanks again and never give up!

d only difference is. In Shaolin we are trained to carry them FULL OF ROCKS or FULL OF WATER for a short -Walk- of 3hrs up in d mountains -stairs up. stairs down. 1, 111 steps-. and we are not allowed to let d water drip-out any single -tear-. or. any single small piece of rock topping d big heavy rocks inside. that will cost us a SEVERE NEXT ENDURANCE. in real life. more. SKILLS OF SURVIVAL will ALLWAYS take place TWICE A MONTH for a period of 48hrs each. NO WATER nor FOOD. and BERAFOOTED. MEDITATION will take place. how about that, Jake. you wanna try it. i bet you won't! --

It's not -cement. - It is -concrete. - And it does not dry, it cures.
Concrete has aggregate, sand, and cement. Just as a cake has flour, eggs and other ingredients.
Would you call a cake -flour? - Well flour is to a cake as cement is to concrete.
When you call CONCRETE -cement-, you are calling a cake, -flour. -

Love the way U guys work together! Hindsight but Jake U can put the coals on top of the lodge Dutch oven learned that watching my Dad growing up. It gives the pot some upper heat like if it was in the oven. Ur a stud I COULD NEVER DO WHAT Ur doing. Just add that to Ur arsenal off grid.

little help: build a distilling boiler and make clean water. doesn't have to be huge. if the stream is accesable add a water wheel generator to pump water to your site! could water a garden etc. Jake to keep using buckets carve a neck yoke to maximum strength.

Hey guys. If you can check out TheWildYam she has videos on foraging mushrooms and living of grid. And so much more. I think she lives here in Ontario, Canada. But I really like her videos too. Just thought you may be interested.

You guys need a Berkey water filter. You can make your own drinking water from the stream. It's a couple hundred dollars up front but one filter cartridge does 3000 gallons. They all come with 2. Replacement filters (2) are $80.

once you clean your cast iron, just take a paper towel or something. your fingers. and use some oil or some cooking grease to give it a light coating, then store. it will keep it in pretty good shape for a long time

Jake, just do a bag of cement into your hole and add water then poke at it with a stick. No need to dirty up a wheelbarrow and a shovel. There's anough moisture in the ground that you may not even need to add the water.

Eating the edible mushrooms, moss, and lichen will be a SUPERFOOD addition to your diet and help acclimate you to the area biophysiologically. Amazing sources of protein, fiber, and healing antioxidants. Awesome!
