The thing that most people don't understand is that applying for a citizenship isn't a walk in the park. If it was so easy to apply for one, then the cancellation of the TPS wouldn't be a problem. The TPS doesen't lead to a citizenship. I understand that it has the word temporary in it, but these people have made lives and have settled in this country. Many of these people have also had children. Cancelling the TPS would seperate many families. No child should have the fear of being seperated from their families. The TPS is a flawed system and it has gone on for a very long time but destroying all of these people's hard work is inhumane. These people have homes, jobs, children, and started businesses. I can't imagine how sad it must be to lose all of their hard work. The countries that they came from are still in horrible conditions. Honduras is ranked as one of the most dangerous places in the world due to high homocide rates, gangs, and lots of violence. Sending people back to such horrible places is simply wrong. I think that if people have been. I say that any TPS holder who has been living here for a very long time should be allowed to stay. (But I even I can't deny the fact that it's dumb how these people have been living here for a very long time and they still don't know English)

The conditions in Central American countries remain poor because they have a financial incentive to stay that way. The money pouring in from Central Americans in the US have boosted their local economies by nearly 20%. Billions of dollars are flowing in annually from remittances because of TPS. This is creating an unhealthy dependency on the US economy by Central American governments who have no incentive to improve things. Theyre making billions off of this. This is a wealth building scheme. And people are dying and suffering as a result. Poorer countries are emotionally blackmailing the US for profit while letting their people suffer so that they can siphon money from the USA to boost their GDP. Nothing will ever improve their as long as remittances continues to flow in from TPS recipients

If everyone who could challenge the cartel and gang members and work to improve their countries leave, the entire social and political system in their home countries breaks down. Then, more want to come to the Unites States on a humanitarian basis and the cycle repeats until the country they left is unlivable and never becomes developed. The only long-term answer is for them to return to their countries of origin and work as a group to improve their collective situations. They are capable, strong and have earned degrees or learned valuable trades and are now in a position to make a positive impact at home. We can't take in every individual from every developing country and it's not our moral obligation to do so.

The owner of the business says without TPS he doesn't know how he would run his business! Why? Aren't there any Americans in the area that need jobs? Is he paying his workers a fair wage? Would Americans work for same amount of money? Oh but he might have to offer healthcare if they were legal. Maybe that is it.

I feel like there should be a rule that states you are allowed to apply for citizenship or permanent residency once they've lived in the USA for 5 or 10 years. I'm sure this is what the UK and Australia offer. Is that not also how it works in America? I'm confused as to why not.

22 years, can't speak english and can't find someone to get married to so that you could become a resident alien then citizen. I'd be damned if I went ANYWHERE for 22 years and still temporary, I wouldn't even work a job temporary that long, come on!

I think it's time to end this whole TPS for good! Too many take advantage of it & think they're here for good! They need to be reminded that they signed papers & were made fully aware that this was not a pathway to citizenship!

The way to replace those sent back to El Salvador and other countries is by getting rid of welfare in this country. That way, people on welfare will take these jobs left empty. Its so obvious thats the way to go.
