This is why people with no knowledge should not make decisions. It should be left to professionals and the people involved. There are birth defects that you can live with for long happy life, some that will only give you a couple of years, other were you only got days to months and the ones were life is not viable. If the fetus is not viable abortions should be made any time the mother wants to. Examples of this are Anencephaly, about 1, 206 pregnancies are affected by this condition each year in the United States. They die hours after birth or are dead at birth. Literally, this is what the bill is referring to a fetus that has serious birth defects. not just any defect. There are fetuses with heart defects, this does not mean the mother knows he is going to be born with a heart defect that can be treated with surgery or medications and he can be aborted, that is not what this bill states. So all you pro-life BS scammers, If you want to fight for life fight for the ones who suffer that are alive today. for homeless people, some are veterans with mental health issues others just have mental health issues. others have just had a really hard life and some are just bums. Still, they are alive and breathing but don't hear any of you complaining about life for the most marginalized people in this country. If you want to care for others peoples responsibility then go find people who want to abort and offer to pay the kids food, clothing, school. etc since you think your opinion should be the only opinion that counts.

I'm a liberal, and a feminist, heck I was a card-carrying commie for most of my late teens. But I find this abortion bill utterly horrifying. It is literally legalizing infanticide. No baby needs to be aborted in the third trimester, not to save the mother's life let alone something as nebulous as her 'health'. Abortion is a long procedure, it requires several days, if you are dealing with a medical emergency during pregnancy you need an emergency c-section which can be performed within an hour. That produces a living infant. From 24 weeks, the viability of survival for a newborn is heading for 75%, by the third trimester it's 90% survival rate. that means that allowing an abortion in the third trimester is just murder. the infant is viable, it should not be butchered just because it's not wanted, which is what this bill is about if we're honest. There is no danger to a woman's health that would involve an abortion that close to birth.

Life or health is incredibly vague. The big problem here and what most if not all opponents of this policy have take issue with is the fact that this vagueness allows and abortion to take place for almost any reason as long as some doctor somewhere says it could negatively effect the mothers health. What kind of health? Mental? Physical? In what way? To what severity? Does it have to be life threatening? The bill does not say. It leaves far too many doors open and when it comes to innocent lives being taken leaving those doors open is simply unacceptable. Especially considering that nine times out of ten that baby is not only fully developed and fully viable outside of the womb but also that we already have methods of extracting the infant in that stage without harming baby or mother let alone killing the child.

I know youre trying to play both sides - reporting Trumps agenda and then giving a counter point from another source. However, he said from the get go that its a unifying plan. Hes laying out things that either side likes, that hes willing to sign on, so long as he gets what he wants. His history on any given topic doesnt matter. What matters is that hes willing to sign these things and all he wants in return is a strong border. Write your representative if any of these topics are more important to you than preventing a wall. Best case, we get all the good stuff he mentioned and all we have to do is allow a wall to be built on certain parts of the border. Its a good deal.

Please help me. I have been trying to call State's Attorney's probation officers you name it something to keep these people away from Emma and Cody and keep those kids safe. I think federally mandated (this is key) paid family leave is a terrible idea, and heres why. By forcing all businesses to provide this, all businesses will be far more hesitant to hire couples who want to start families. This both hurts businesses and hurts couples looking for jobs, as less jobs will be available. A couple should be able to have the option to, if they are willing, work without paid family leave. Paid family leave is already a thing for some people who have negotiated it into their contract. This will hurt both businesses and people who want to start families by shrinking the job market.

#vaticanPerson A: People are distrusting our faithfulness. Person B: Better ignore their claims and pretend you didn't notice. Pope: Alright, lets play with an open hand and convince believers and non believers alike that we truely are an authority of the good. Meanwhile, investigations figure out scandal after scandal. Person A: Well shit. Person B: Friggin told you so. Pope: Ye. yeees It was my plan all along to clean up the vatican and associated institutions To cleanse and shine a light upon everything that troubles the faith of you, my believersY. You better thank me

Let me preface by saying I haven't done any research on this topic, so I will take your word for it. I believe you try to be neutral, for the most part. The thing i find concerning in the NY law verbiage is absence of fetal viability. Is there a definition for what is viable? Are babies who are normal viable? (down syndrome, heart defects, handicaps, ect) FYI - I'm pro choice, so please don't sic the Lib snipers on me. Personally I don't want kids, but if there was ever an accident I would make the decision not to abort it, so no Repub hitman either: )

Nancy Pelosi looks like she doesn't even know where she is or what's going on. There is no way that some of these super old career politicians even know what they are doing anymore. I'm no conspiracy theorist but it kind of makes me wonder who is behind these old timers secretly propping them up and telling them what to say and do. There should be term limits in the senate and house and yearly tests of mental faculties in the senate, house, and the supreme court (Especially the supreme court. Ruth Bader Ginsburg looks dead most of the time.
