This is Why Trump and Putin May Have Just Started the Next Nuclear Arms Race. Eco Mouse: I think the idea of destroying this treaty is the way to move forward, by adding China to the big boy table in future talks as well. They went unchecked for decades, because they weren't part of the original deal. I can picture Trump using this as a platform to launch his re-election bid, by bringing together Xi, Putin and himself into the same room discussing how they are all going to slice up the rest of the world. Even shunning smaller nuke-capable nations would solidify their power and control over the rest of the developing world. No one is legitimately thinking about launching anything, (maybe Lil' Kim) but the Threat of devastation is what the big three want to hold on to. It's what drives (war) economies, and leverages natural resources away from those who do not possess such tools of negotiations. Kim Un was an outlier and wasn't supposed to be allowed to go rogue. But even he recognizes that just having them is how to get the world leaders to pay attention to you.

Oh no, these pieces of paper are going to be ripped up That's adorable. I've got a secret for you: our social boundaries have as much strength as a cheeto for a deadbolt. You've lived such a socialized life you forget that every luxury and privilege we have today is underwritten by force. If Russia thumbs their nose at that piece of paper, then wagging your finger isn't going to do a thing. Cold, hard, reality, like when Bane put his hand on the weasel's shoulder. You think you have power? It's only because it was loaned to you, and Russia took it back. Luckily we have a president with balls rather than mister million lines in the sand.

Russia is being a child. It wants to go back and forth so it can receive attention. The US just fell into that parental pitfall, by backing out. Instead of maintaining its expectations and providing means and consequences for Russia to do its part of the treaty, the US basically said, if youre not playing then Im not either- which sounds just as childish as what Russia is doing. The US should provide aide to Russias poorest and weakest areas. This will boost the image of the US to Russians and the rest of the world. It will also be a blow to Russia making them look incompetent enough to take care of their own.

Maybe im missing something here, but wouldn't it make more sense to focus on a global missile defense? I mean if you can take out the nukes before they cause any damage wouldnt that be all around better than just saying ok now its nuclear war? Then again maybe you cant logically or reasonably do that. I suppose war at this point would be easier, but I would really question the logic of someone that would rather just go to war instead of trying to make nukes useless. This just seems like one of those situations where its time to evolve past this. Creature gets bigger claws, well then develop thicker skin.

When you attend a funeralIt is sad to think that sooner o'Later those you love will do the same for youAnd you may have thought it tragicNot to mention other adjec-Tives, to think of all the weeping they will doBut don't you worry. No more ashes, no more sackclothAnd an armband made of black clothWill someday never more adorn a sleeveFor if the bomb that drops on youGets your friends and neighbors tooThere'll be nobody left behind to grieveAnd we will all go together when we goWhat a comforting fact that is to knowUniversal bereavementAn inspiring achievementYes, we all will go together when we go

Hey, pro tip on the on-camera makeup (or any makeup really, use a more salmon/pinkish tone concealer under your eyes if you want to hide potential dark circles. Since it is a contrast-color to blue it will act as a color-corrector neutralizing the blue and looking more natural, not showing as much, when put under the eyes. Whereas a concealer with yellow undertones works better on pinkish/red areas such as pimples or general redness. If you happen to read my unsolicited advice, keep up the good work and I hope the tip can help, the makeup world can be a jungle: )

Nuclear bombs are a deterrent for war. It is very unlikely it will ever be deployed because of its no winners endgame, but the canceling of the treaty is something Russia wants as it's a way to take back power and use it to pressure others to have their way. Which leads to US's lost in soft power. Thus the idea of bringing in China into a new treaty won't happen even more because of how easy it was to break away from this treaty. It shows that there are no real consequences. Therefore all sides can now make money making more weapons that are rarely ever going to be used.

Meh, Nuclear war isn't that much of a worry IMO. Things will have to go veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyy out of control to get to that point. Russia knows we will go MAD, mutually assured destruction, so if they attack. we attack. everyone else attacks. No one wins. So there is no point to attack in the first place. NK & maybe Israel/Iran are the only risks. and think they even grasp at how bad that would end up with them. In terms of nukes a terrorist version of a dirty bomb is still a bigger concern than a country launching a attack.

My main question is what evidence did we have that Russia was not playing by the rules? Was our decision to pull out of the treaty based on assumption? If that's the case then of course it was a dumb idea for us to pull out of the treaty. If Russia was indeed making these missiles against the treaty then we didn't really have much of a choice because while they're building this Arsenal and not playing by the rules and we are limiting ourselves it basically gives them the upper hand.

have to be honest this whole russia collusion narrative theyve been pressing kinda sparked this situation. every situation wherein russia is involved every decision trump makes is under a microscope, he does sth relatively soft to deescalate, he is putins puppet. if he takes a hard stance, he simply trying to pull the wool over his eyes. its fricking irritating. i miss it when Trump was supposedly friends with Putin, this would hv had a lower chance of happening
