SERIOUSLY? 6 Year Old Arrested, Youtube's Big Reversal, Messy Trump Biden Ukraine Scandal Explained Sarah Hardister: Philip DeFranco, I have something I earnestly want to contribute for the 6-yr-old arrest story. Police interfering with child misbehavior has come up before in media; there's a famous call log from 911 which features an upset mom who complains to the 911 operator about her 12-year-old daughter getting so out of control that she wants an officer to come out, and the woman describes her daughter as big as I am. The 911 operator flatly says, Do you want me to come out and shoot her? and the call goes sour from there. Not the best example of parenting or phone etiquette. The 6-yr-old arrest reminds me much more strongly of an incident featured on A&E's Live PD, where officers had to come out because a young boy, maybe 12-14 had attacked his mother. It was late at night, the officers talked with the mother, separated her from her son. They put the son in handcuffs and then put him in the back of the police car. THEN the officer in charge did something very interesting. He went back to the mother, on camera, and told her quietly, I'm going to let him see me talking to you for a few minutes, and then I'm going to go talk to your the son in the car and tell him that you convinced me not to press charges and let him go, okay, so this way he understands how serious this is and we'll be doing something to help you both out. Then he went and let the kid go back to his mom, both of them clearly in tears and exhausted from the night's ordeal, but recovering. That was amazing. I keep thinking back to that as a perfect example for how our local officers should help domestic disputes, especially when it comes to outliers. You don't go to level 11 and arrest a 6-year-old. You don't completely disregard the problem and make a tasteless joke over the 911 line. You approach it with care and thought.

My daughter has ODD and I was called by the principal because she pushed another student and that girl got hurt. I went in and ask what the other girl was doing. After some time I found out the other girl was playing with stuff she wasn't supposed to and the coach was not paying attention. Since. Y daughter has ODD she will lash out at disobedience and since the authority figure was not doing their job she took it upon herself to fix the situation. I didnt use her ODD as an excuse. I still punished her as her parent and the school gave her detention. But the other girl hot in trouble too. Many people have different illnesses but in this case1. The school shouldnt have called the cops but they parent2. The grandmother shouldnt use her condition to excuse the assult. Better teach her grandchildren to use her words and not physically hurt someone.

I worked at a Boys and Girls club not to long ago and there was a situation where the kids were misbehaving and and so they werent allowed to play. One little boy was playing with the things in his backpack, after multiple warnings by me and other staff to leave his things alone and to sit still he would refuse to listen. I took his backpack away and he proceeded to hit and kick me until he was escorted to the principals office. I never took offense to him hitting me, I kind of expected it. If I heard that he was being arrested, I would be the first to defend him. No child should have to go through such a traumatizing event that will result in a mistrust in law enforcement.

Arresting 6-8 year old children is a travesty. These are children, whose mental capacity is not even able to comprehend what this means. This is abuse Yes, discipline is needed, but this is not it Discussion, treating the children like human beings, calling their guardians to assist in dealing with issues, offering therapy and guidance, are just a few options, on how to deal with behaviour problems. Nothing, absolutely nothing, makes arresting and traumatizing these children, right. Shame on the officer He could have made himself a role model for these children, but instead, terrified and scarred them for life.

To be fair the girl used self defense. They grabbed her wrist. This can be seen as a threat to her. If she actually is going through the apnea issue then I can see her being tired enough to not have the mentality to differ threat VS authority. But authority doesn't mean you instantly get respect either. I called out teachers and others as a kid because I saw they were being unfair. It's ignorant to think just because he's a resource officer means he's without flaw. His history shows that

Im a special needs kid I went to Ashtabula technical school. I have tourettes, censory processing disorder and bipolar disorder. I was arrested by the recourse officer for leaving detention I was wrongfully given to look for the principal to talk to him. After being arrested I was harrassed, intimidated and mocked by the officer. We were told to sue him and the school but were too low on money to pay for it. Man it feels good to get that out to the public, even if it's just YouTube.

I'm surprised no one else in the school stepped up and stopped the officer from literally arresting a 6 year old. Protocol is to contact parents, administration and safely confine the student if they are causing harm to themselves or others. Did any of that happen? Why was a child arrested for kicking, that too when she has a condition that clearly impacts behavior and mood? Kids do far worse and get a slap on the wrist. What a shame.

Medical condition or no medical condition. she is SIX YEARS OLD. SIX I had to pause the video to take a moment, that hit me so hard in my ribs. I can't even muster the energy to be shocked by Trump any longer. but arresting a six year old child for a tantrum and then having her fully booked, including fingerprints and mugshot? Apparently, we are arresting little kids for developmentally appropriate misbehavior now. Lovely.

add on to 3: 55. It makes sense that the State of Florida does not want to play in any part of this nonsense to begin with. but with that being said, is this not of another situation where the family should be taking foresight in preventing something like this happening to begin with since it's better to leave parenting to our schools attitude has gone on for the last two to three decades. or it's just me?
