If you only give exemptions when you truly believe its needed. youll be fine. So doctors who say I wont be giving anymore are clearly worried because they dont always give them correctly. Also if the parents are worried, then their kids likely dont actually need an exemption. The worry is their kids might believe they are getting forced in to a bad situation by the government. If you dont have a medical issue, vaccines are perfectly safe. If you are worried 100% go to a doctor and talk about your worries, have your kid checked, and even get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. Doctors would prefer to talk to a million anti vaxers and set them at ease than force them to vaccinate their kids screaming and kicking (the parents not the kids haha.

Im a birkenstock wearin, yoga practicin, kumbacha drinkin, west coast white girl so naturally i come accross instagram pages about holistic stuff, like veganism and antivaxxers etc, and i just gotta say it is SHOCKING how hilariously fake all of the facts that they share are. And its not rare, its almost every page. Ive seen 86 yr old grandmother cures her scoliosis within a month of practicing yoga, putting plants in your bedroom cures insomnia men who dont masterbate have 75% more testosterone than those who do and therefore attract more feminine women. Its actually crazy what they just repost and pass off as facts and miracles and everyone eats it up without a second thought because honestly they just want to believe it.

Fun tid-bit on the anti-vax stuff: there is this doctor that lives like, 2hrs from my mom, has been vaccinated for the measles I think it was said 3 separate times? She developed a strain of measles that's resistant to the vaccination. The doctor theorized that anti-vaxxers in the area caused it to reappear and allow it to adapt Into a super bug. IF that is the case, think about everything else we vaccinate for, and imagine if we accidentally create a superbug of it. I'm completely against surrendering human rights and all that, but if it comes to preventing a polio super bug, then. yeah, let the gi Joe's do what they freaking want.

I personally hate people who don't get their kids vaccinated without good reason. I have a younger cousin, just turned 13, who has cystic fibrosis. His immune system is extra-weak, and he is unable to be vaccinated. Even a simple cold can land him in the hospital for up to a month. So when I hear about kids that he goes to school with being unvaccinated because their parents dont believe in vaccines or believe vaccines cause autism, it pisses me off. My cousin is a sweet boy, he loves his family and is happy in life. It isnt fair that other people's ignorance puts that innocent life in danger.

Language matters. A majority of anti-vaxxers aren't against vaccines entirely. They want to space them out as a child's immune system and body matures. Even if it is a small risk, shotgunning a ton of trace chemicals into a small body is still risky. The CDC's vaccine schedule has 15 shots by the time a child is 30 months old. That's just crazy. The fact that so many people side with the govt over parents on how they raise THEIR children is disturbing. Parental rights matter and if your child is vaccinated why do you care if mine isn't for a few years.

RE: KSI vs PAUL - It doesn't bother me, the best part about boxing (or mma) is it answers the question, Who would win in a fight between? The Logan-KSI or the Mcgregor vs Mayweather, brings attention to a sport I like(boxing, where I can talk to other people who are not normally interested. The only thing that bothers me is that there is a Championship on the line as a co-main. Never let a championship fight be outshone on the same card. It diminishes what an achievement it is to be a champion.

It might sound horrible, but I think we all know the only way to stop the fighting in the middle east. Turn the place into a concrete slab. And rebuild it like we rebuilt Japan. No half measures, no decade and a half of combating guerrilla forces or arming the populace. We need to occupy that shit and rebuild it from scratch. Yes thousands will die, but millions will be saved in the long run. (I await the flood of hippy dippy comments telling me I'm the devil)

Its should be solely up to the parents to determine if their child should get vaccinated. Thats where I stand. People dont want the government in their bedroom, gynaecologist room etc but it ok to take control of a parents child. No it should be the same. Government is TOO BIG and is sticking their noses where it should not be. Taking liberties away and most people are ok with it until they realise they have no more rights left.

It never fails to appall me just how ignorant and dangerous the anti-vax movement has become. I agree with Phil, in that they have long since lost the privilege of being regarded in any sort of a sympathetic light. They are willfully ignorant, at the cost of innocent children's lives. They need to be prosecuted, and, if needs be, criminalized, unless they start to vaccinate their children.
