WHY Jake Paul Anxiety Backlash Is SO HUGE, Gun Girl Kaitlin Bennett SWARMED By Protestors, & More Wiktoria: Anxiety is created by you. true statement, people on Twitter hear what they want to hear, they get lost in semantics (I have anxiety, and as a person that had success fighting it I understand that it is in my head, not my fault, but in my head. It doesn't exist outside my head, and I needed to understand that I have control, exercise it little by little, and my brain cought up. It's really up to you to stop being a victim, it's not easy, it'll make you freak out more than once, but for me desensitising myself to what makes me anxious was the only help. I kept reminding myself that nothing is really happening and I'll always come back home at the end of the day. For me Jake's statement is true, and I'm definitely not a fan of his)

People talk about I have anxiety so often these days. A lot of people tend to self diagnose, most people actually. Anxiety is something you will normally feel in certain situations, how you deal with it and the situation itself can change how much anxiety you experience. How much what's going on could mean to you etc. And then you have actual anxiety disorders. These are the people with actual mental illness. These days you find people talking about my anxiety this and my anxiety that and they use it as a crutch for every other thing but when you talk to them they don't meet criteria for diagnosing an actual disorder. This doesn't mean they don't deserve your sympathy, just means they're thankfully misinformed and probably need counseling from someone who cares or a pro to let them know. It's sad cuz everyone these days talk about their anxiety but they dont know the names of any disorders cuz they don't actually properly research it cuz they don't need to. Cuz they don't have a disorder. But at the same time good for them, they don't have a disorder to?

Just bc you dont like someone or their views does not mean you get to assault them. Like gun girl or not, you have no right to physically harm her bc she hurt your feelings. Grow up. If this is how college students act I fear for the future. When real life hits, you will have to live in a world full of people you dont like and you disagree with. She is a tiny female with a microphone. asking you a question. Grow some balls and ignore her and dont engage. It's that simple. Your life is not in danger of this tiny girl with a microphone. However what I find hilarious is that these people ARE breaking the law of harassment and assault but will never be enforced bc it's under the mask of social justice. We are in serious danger if this is how our most educated people act on opposing view points.

I have quite serve anxiety, and once made the mistake of surrounding myself with others with anxiety. It was unfortunately a group that found identity and solidarity in their anxiety rather than a thing to improve upon. It was more a downward spiral than anything. There are definitely a portion of people that escalate their own anxiety by not doing anything about it. Yes, it IS an involuntary response that you ultimately can't do anything about. But like other such responses, the way your conscious brain reacts to these impulses contextualizes them and paints your experience with them. You may not be able to just not-be anxious, but everyone has the tools or can learn the tools to make the incidents less severe over time. That much you can very much influence.

On the OU thing: I read a statement earlier from a parent taking a tour with their daughter that the girl was harassing students & asking targeted, loaded questions. She was seeking an incensed reaction & got one. My university had a fire and brimstone group that would come every year under the guise of Christianity to spread hate & fear all while provoking students for a reaction/potential lawsuit. I can't speak much for the campus atmosphere at OU, but my own wasn't overtly liberal, in fact, it was a fairly conservative small southern school. Main take away: recognizing someone's ill will in a situation isn't a political declaration.

The problem with katlin is that she genuinely a nasty person. She stared to say really offensive thing and I dont know what kind of reaction she was expecting. I dont mind people voicing their opinions, but going into someone elses space and trying to get a reaction out of them, harassing and saying homophobic and a racist shit, to proceed and blame them for their behavior. Like, young adults and teenagers are not the more peaceful people, and she got what she was looking for. The watt er wasnt the best thing, but I dont pardon that she said Im a woman of color like. sis

Rational conservatives and moderates dont claim Bennett. Shes doing this for a reaction and gives a bad name to conservatives. Shes getting just what she gives in this situation. However I feel like a stronger statement would be just to ignore her because then she doesnt get the reaction and fame that she wants. I hate that shes grouped in with conservatives. I cringe. Shes loud but she definitely doesnt speak for most people. Also no I dont think she should get things thrown on her. However she shouldnt be surprised by the confrontation when thats all she does.

I honeslty don't understand why ppl just attack each other for having different opinions and beliefs. I don't agree with her either but that is no reason to attack her physically and emotionally. Everyone thinks is right and instead of having an actual conversation, everyone just tells, just wants to get their point across and doesn't want to listen. Honeslty, what happened to society? What happened to respecting each other as humans? I am defending everyone, no matter what side, that is attacked for what they believe in. Just stop the violence.

I haven't left my house in months because of anxiety and depression, I physically can't and tweets like Jake Paul's are the reason there is such a misunderstanding about it. although the outcome may have been to educate, I don't think that was his original intention nor does it erase the damage and hurt and possible triggering his tweet caused to people suffering from such things. Ignorance is no excuse for such hurtful words and he may have been able to fix it and spin It into a possible positive this time, but what about next time?

I'm just confused as to why all these students are at college and seemingly have no classes or anything more interesting or helpful to do. I would have gone home and played smash because who has time for that pointless hate crap that doesn't work to actually change anything. Strait up probably would have had work if I wasn't at class usually. My peers need to spend their time more productively instead of acting like they have no time to do homework cause they skipped class to give someone who wants attention more attention.
