FBI RAID JAKE PAUL'S MANSION! Multiple Weapons Seized! The Mulan Experiment. Census Problems TheLegendaryD: For the Census problems. Literally 98% of Americans have cell phones. Why not send a Census text and plan out a Census by phone? That's essentially what they ask for when they say self submission. So what's the big difference? Digitally it can be done with a strategical plan but they're dragging their asses cause tHaT's nOt ThE TraDiTIoNaL wAy!

The cost for mulan is a lot for a single adult but. people rarely go to theaters by themselves. especially a Disney film since its for kids and families. So since two adults and one child at a theater would likely cost 30 anyways. seems comparable. Though its still not a theater. its definitely still a different experience than going to one. Whether or not you are the kind of person who likes or hates theaters is a completely different thing altogether anyways. and from what I hear this grants you access to watching the movie for as long as you have the disney subscription. Which again. seems fair since you wouldnt watch a movie at a theater and then be able to watch it over and over like you owned it anyways so. meh. seems fine. for people who would go to theaters anyways.
As for me. I wouldnt have gone to see it in theaters anyways so no. I'm not going to bother to watch it at home either. I dont even have disney+ anymore. I kind of got into the mandelorian but other than that I just feel like I'm too old for that stuff. and disney just doesnt make good content anymore. they censor themselves constantly. I just dont feel like supporting the company anymore period because they really have turned into a monster.

Honest question about the Mulan movie: But who genuinely wants to see it?
I stand neutrally about the film, but from what I heard there's no songs (robbing us of yet another rendition of Make a Man Out of You ) and worse of all, no Mushu? I understand it is a movie that is beloved by many, but given the track record of these live action re-releases of these iconic films, doesn't all this spell disaster? In addition, the 29. 99 price tag not even to own the film seems like another slap in the face.
Of course, I may be just pessimistic. I am curious to see who is anticipating this and why

If Mulan was like 20 I would consider that more reasonable as that is a lot closer to the price of a ticket at a decent movie theater when compared to 30. I would prefer the Mulan movie to be 10 -15 mainly because of the subscription fees on top of that.
30 may be a little more reasonable if there wasn't the subscription fees and it was on many platforms.
This is also coming from someone who wasn't planning on seeing Mulan in theaters and might have not even watch it if/when it came to Disney+ in normal circumstances.

On the census: im so angry at how its being run to try to undercount people, since the census is still being postponed for some enumerators to count homes/ group housings. So theres definitely no way they will count everyone if they're going to cut it short.
Also the census director is still going to try to implement trump asking to exclude undocumented immigrants. Which idk how they're going to do that since theres no way on the form to indicate you are one.

I mean. if you and a friend/significant other go to see Mulan in theatres, you're going to be spending at least 30 just in tickets. Not to mention getting to the theatre (ie parking/cabbing/busing, going out for drinks and/or a meal before/after the movie if you want to, and buying popcorn/snacks at the theatre. A night out at the movies is going to run you 50-60 minimum for 2 people, so a rental of 30 in the comfort of your own home seems pretty reasonable.

So, I checked on the Mulan release. It s 30 with unlimited views. Sounds good at first. But how about I wait a little longer when Disney+ will add it to the streaming service in like 6 months. I don t know if they will, but if they plan to keep the double paywall up, I ll give in and get it. Or Disney may notice a low purchase and release to all Disney+ viewers by December. I don t know. 30 is a lot unless all accounts on my Disney+ pay part of it.

The only people in my household are my bf and me. We have the amc a list subscription so movies usually only cost us like 23 each to see up to 12 or more movies a month. If we didn't have the service movies (plus a drink and sometimes popcorn) for both of us usually costs a bit more than 24. The math just does not add up for me to spend 30 to rent one movie. which honestly sucks because I was interested in it. oh well.

the whole point of streaming services is to get a variety of stuff at a monthly price. I fear that if this is successful it will set a precedent and similar to video games more and more stuff will be locked behind an additional pay wall when it shouldve just been included in the base price. movie theaters are an experience. im not paying 30 to sit on my couch and play on my phone during the movie

Why should people who are not citizens be counted? Genuine question. Shouldn t congress be representative of US citizens? Shouldn t federal spending go to US citizens? I genuinely do not understand what is so malicious about excluding illegal immigrants from the Census, besides reducing the quantity of representatives in states with high populations of illegal immigrants.
