The rights of EVERY AMERICAN are not just journalists are protected by the 1st amendment, I'm glad to see the media outlets standing up for their own and showing some outrage at the unjust and clearly brutal arrest of a journalist, but how about you dial it up for the hundreds of other citizens being treated the same way who are being arrested for peacefully protesting, those arrests are equally as illegal, unjust and would be as harrowing to watch if caught on tape. The media should be reporting them on a daily basis, when citizens are being trampled all over, it's their job.

I would like to point out something the parent of any small child who doesn't want to go somewhere can attest, screaming and crying does not necessarily indicate pain. this woman knew she was recording and could have been acting to make a better video. that said the police were excessive in their use of force but it is understandable that they are feeling victimized as 2 of their own were just gunned down in the street and these uncontrolled animals are chanting they hope they die. would any of you be in a logical and kind frame of mind in this situation?

Man on two points. Nuance is dead, unfortunately people believe eveeything is black and white period. If you support part of an argument you support it all which is insane to me. On the next point i understand the actress feeling if it had been a woman. but we are evolving in that arena. Is she gonna let us continue to evolve or keep shoving the sins of our past in our mouths until we choke? No one wants to see a woman treated less than, harassed, or anything. This society did a lot to dull senses through bullying let people heal and relearn.

Im not sure how much of it is because hes a guy. Hes literally captain america, people look at him and see a hero. THey see hope and the personifaction of good will and optimism in beleiving in people. if you chock all he is up to just hes a guy then you are missing something. Most of the Men in music/sports/politics/radio etc wouldnt get this kind of support. hes getting back what he has given out to millions of people. THis is a perk of being chris evans not jsut an actor.

I truly don't wish death on anyone, even though I don't support the police. I do take issue that when cops are shot the criminals are caught and punished heavily while police committing murder don't even stand trial unless the murder is recorded by bystanders. I hope these guys recover but anyone working in law enforcement should know they are being targeted for being complicit in violence, if not directly then indirectly.
The next story pretty much proves my point.

Honestly; I am indifferent to the plight of the cops. And I am more amused by the hypocrisy of politicians. Cops murdering people is a weekly occurance now, it gets muted promises of reform from ONE side of the isle. Cop gets killed? And they condemn it in the strongest terms. Police brutality is acceptable, your response is an atrocity. You can't defend your self, you can't run away, you can't retaliate. But sure. we're suppose to be horrified by violence against them.

The only thing that doesnt add up with Huang's story is her claim of filming them from a distance. Her cell phone footage shows her very very close to the police car while the arrest was taking place. Not saying that the way the police treated her was okay, but I do wonder if the situation would have been avoided if she was 3-4 more steps back. I think this is a case where the journalist was a tad too close AND the police overreacted. Not one or the other. Both.

Have police departments not yet realized they can't make false claims about the actions of police when everything they're doing is on camera? Do they not check twitter to see what's already out there before getting someone to write up a report with the explicit goal of making that police department look as innocent as possible? This doesn't work anymore. The world is watching.

I'm trying to find information about the attempted murder of the cops and cant find anything? Am I searching the wrong things or are the suppressing information? I literally just wanna know what kinda record the cops had, how they served their community, should that be so hard to find? I expected it to come up with one Google search
