In regards to the Breanna Taylor story: Justice has not been served here; the taxpayers are bailing out the police department yet again in an effort to silence those demanding action and to shield the officers from further liability. Justice will not be served in this case until all officers involved are criminally charged and held accountable by a jury of their peers.
In regards to the whistleblower complaint about ICE detention facilities: I am not surprised to find out that these detention camps are indeed stooping to the tactics and level of care of Nazi concentration camps; this should be seen as an international incident requiring the intervention of the other NATO allies, the UN, and the Hague. It is unconscionable that these types of atrocities are being committed on US soil with the backing of the US government on non-citizens, and these types of actions are going to start a war with Latin and South American countries if this continues. The American system shielded Bush, Cheney, and their administration for the war crimes committed based on intentional lies issued by their spokespeople; it should not do the same for the Trump administration.

Yeah they likely will not be deplatformed. Their views will still provide google money at a higher enough amount per vid to where they see the risk of negative press as not enough (at its current rate) to warrent further action. And as Phil said they have a huge base of loyal fans so their viewer count is likely going to stay the same or even go up so no risk to them either with being demonitized as that is now their secondary money maker compares to their merch and is more of a marketing tactic at this point

I have more thoughts on the universities than anything. Yes, there is a level of personal responsibility when it comes to partying. However, we are talking about very young adults. They feel entitled to certain college experiences. We have to blame institutions that make this behavior possible and likely. Schools like ISU prioritized tuition over public safety, and this is the outcome. We need a mix of institutional action and personal responsibility.

Perhaps the coverage of the officers ticking the box injuries as none is made to make the public hysterical. I believe there is a box below that asks if anyone died on scene. That they would have checked yes to. Source: I file and organize these forms often and prepare simillar forms. I would like to see the whole form before making an opinion on that. However, the officers need consquences. Charges need to be made. Not administer duties.

I think we should all agree that giving women hysterectomies without their consent is disgusting and horrible. Doesn t matter what your stance on Trump is, this is forcefully sterilizing people which is EXTREMELY illegal and EXTREMELY violates basic human rights. A woman has a right to choose whether or not she has children, they re taking that right away from them just because of the land they were standing on and because they re brown.

Nelk has built an empire and that empire is more than likely not going anywhere. They can be demonetized on YT but that exposure is nothing more than advertisement. If they were to be kicked off of the YT platform, they will find another or create their own. Word of mouth is probably the best form of advertisement, when you are as large as this collective.

The reforms are merely promises that the police have to work around. The only to create true change is by holding officers of the law accountable. The LPD have done nothing to rectify the situation and expect their bosses to bend over backwards for them; they even tried to push her boyfriend to slander her name. Arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor.

Honestly Phil, regarding the last story, do I think the whistleblower is telling the truth? Probably. Would I be surprised if it came out that she wasn't lying or vice versa? Probably not. With how things are right now, I'm unphased at more than half of what I see.
And that lack of caring that I got now, that's what worries me.

ICE is the American equivalent of the SS from Nazi Germany. We need to call this out for what it is, these are concentration camps. They are rife with human rights abuses, and the worst part is that everyone knows about them yet the government and the American people have done nothing to stop this disgusting crime against humanity.
