My daughter has hair that goes past her butt & it's VERY thick too (I've noticed a lot of women with very long hair, their hair isn't super thick). (She also has eyelashes so long & thick they go all the way to her eyebrows if u can believe it) She is now 11 & we have people stop us & comment on her hair alllll the time. She's definitely known for it. I've tried several times every year asking her if she wants to cut it ect but she says she wants it to be longer! -. She's asked about trying to get into commercials & I'm considering it.

I-m mixed race and always had long hair and worn it natural. It-s to my behind now. I-ve never cut it because it-s literally a part of me and I love long hair. I want to see how much longer it can grow. Now that I-m an adult I take much better care of it. I-m wearing it in 8 twists now. My hair type is very high maintenance but it-s worth it in the long run. I feel so blessed that I-ve never worn weaves, wigs, extensions, etc. I don-t think I could deal with floor length hair but it-s still beautiful.

My mom always told me what Alena-s told her as well. A girl should always have long beautiful hair, she never really cut it-just trims. But I always got so confused when mother-s would cut their little girls hair super short. My hair is still long but def not as long as these girls but almost down to my butt.

Only started growing my hair out year ago and it-s growing all the way down to my hips from armpit length to hip length in one year which I think is awesome and amazing my hair grows fast that-s how I was able to grow it to my hips in year and plan on to keep growing my hair to see how long it gets!

I had my last haircut (lob length) right before the pandemic and I haven-t been to the hairdresser since!
It-s down at my waist now (curly) and expecting it to be butt length within a few months. Never had it this long but it was always my dream! Easier to manage long than any mid length!

Here's to hoping none of these women are diagnosed with cancer and experience it falling out. Having your personal identity so connected to your hair is not a good idea and would be psychologically devastating if they lost their hair and didn't know who they were without it.

Some of the math doesn-t seem to be adding up. hair hasn-t been cut since the age of 5. person is 35 now. Hair grows approximately 1/2- per month. should be 15ft or more of hair (depending on hair length after haircut done at 5 years old. 6ft of hair growth takes 12 years)

They-ve all lost considerable hair at the root from the weight with thin spots and receding hairlines. You can see it when they pull their hair back. IMO, hair passed the hips is diminishing returns. The stylist was a sweetheart, lovely skilled and talented person.

I'd like to get mine down to my lower back but everytome, it's mid back I give up because it gets hard to care for and wash and takes too long to dry. then I get overheated and cut it onto a Bob. makes me wonder if it would ever grow though to my hips?

Lele Pons could never lol. Anyways, long hair is pretty, but I find it annoying that it hits my face and I roll on it in my sleep. Wonder if I should cut it short and shave it and wear the rest as a wig? Sounds crazy I know

I-ve been growing locs for over 8 years. They are at my chest. I won-t let them grow past my waist-I play instruments and I-m active-I love my hairline-I have a prominent forehead too. I can-t imagine the weight.

Also side note I know dozens of women who have never cut their hair for religious reasons and yes it gets down to the floor they always keep it styled and up and the hair naturally breaks from split ends

Yeah their hair is long, but it so stringy and thin. it doesnt look nice at all. Come back when you have people with super long THICK hair! Now that would be beautiful.

It's so thin though most of it towards the ends they need to trim the dead ends off like the last foot of it is super thin if you look carefully
