You mentioned Australia's policy of removing aboriginal children from families and placing them with white foster families which lasted until the 1970's but that happened in the US and Canada as well. They took children from their mothers in the hospital after they were born and put them in the foster system. That's what happened to my mom, who was born in 1967 and she ended up getting adopted by a white family. Her little brother, who was also adopted, was also taken in this way.

This history teacher is the kind of liberal one sided BS that goes on at college. He would say how horrible native Americans were treated in the trail of tears and leave out that the richest of the native Americans carried along slaves. What? Native Americans had slaves? Yes. So did free African Americans had slaves too. This guy and so many liberal professors leave this dark side of history out. Same time bashing white people.

They should change the name to this to the tragic history of the native Americans. Never once did he he talk about how Native Americans killed plenty of innocent emigrants. Plenty of that went on but talk about that. Just a one sided view of this time period.

Instead of saying white people (kind of sounds racist) use the word emigrate. Plenty of blacks went west too. And other races during the manifest destiny.
