Make your own hand-cranked Emergency Powerbank Tariq: those batteries could be charged with much higher Charging currents 1. 5A nominally for most 18650 batteries. And u could have used Full Bridge Rectifier instead of single diode so no matter which direction you rotate. And used the 100RPM (highest torque motor u said that gives 10V) with 2200uF capacitor so that the capacitor doesn't gets easily charge to max & voltage fluctuations at Buck/Boost converter is controllable which concludes stable output at converter with more charging current

for everyone playing at home, Use a stepper motor. find the winding pairs put a bridge rectifier on each set and you get some seriously good power. I've found it best to charge up a super cap bank then take from that via a buck converter. Good for wind, hydro, pedal or hand crank.

So a BLDC would be fine, if it had a gearbox. The conclusion that a BLDC doesn't work but a brushed motor would hinges entirely on the gearbox. A brushless motor would probably be much more effecient, which is very important for deriving power from a hand-cranked system.

It blows my mind you make enough living off YouTube to afford an assistant. Assuming YouTube isn't a losing endeavor for you. I certainly go out of my way not to patronize online advertisements. Bunch of drones patronizing advertised garbage.

I got a Stay Safe Battery ad after looking at the power bank and this video
Its basically about how they are sooo dangorous and they will cause injury
but smh its not like your going to put in in your pocket like the ad smh.

Actually its pretty common thing if some motor giving high rpms in low volts or ac power, that it would need more power to reverse the power by rotating motar at high speed
So u could have started from a dc motor

When you did the calculation relating to the 100 turn 27 ohm winding, you did not allow for the 12 windings (or 4 stars) that are generating in parallel?

Even though I'm software engineer, I love your videos. Someday I'll build something with the knowledge i gained watching all your videos.

Adding a tp4056 and a full bridge rectifier, a zener diode with very beefy capacitor would prevent it from being electro boom
