Big question, though: from what I understand, only parts of what is today Romania were occupied by the Roman emperor Trajan, and then as you mention in the video, the Romans completely withdrew to the South of the Danube under emperor Aurelian in 271AD. Not even 170 years of Roman occupation. The vacuum was then filled by the Goths, followed by countless raids by all sorts of barbarians.
Given all this, how then can one explain that Romanians speak a language that is so closely related to Latin? Thank you!

Goths did not call themselves Goths. Romans called them Goths because they could not pronounce their name. They were Slavs, Serbs. Ancient Slavic spread far and reached India. Ethimology proves that Sanskrit developed from ancient Slavic which is older, and branched to all so called Indo-European (previously so called Germano-European. Pope and Vatican lies are spoon fed across centuries.

But there had been no government or civil order in the Empire for a century before that, the title emperor was completely empty. Crossing the Rhine was the beginning of the end, and the sack of Rome can be considered the end. The Middle Ages began immediately, with the gradual desertion of the cities that were no longer safe to live in.
