For such a short video, you really did justice to an often overlooked tactic that was being used of marrying off daughters to gain allies and then having those ruling allies fight wars with them. They also would sometimes assassinate rulers, or cause a general degradation to the central authority through subterfuge, then once enough unrest occurs the Mongols would come in with a large army and demand individual cities to surrender or die horribly. Most surrendered. The central authority of their ally being in chaos and potentially still trying to even just figure out who was actually ruling (civil wars, etc) while the Mongols had already gained half the country. By the time they could raise an army and fight as a unified front, they could rarely raise enough to fight back adequately and were mopped up and usually executed to a man

When I was in China, I too encountered the fearsome Mongols. I was walking down the street in a hot summer day in Beijing, when two large, fearsome Mongols approached me! One of them said, Are you looking for an apartment? I said yes. Then the other one said, We are real estate agents - come with us. And they showed me a one bedroom flat. Ok they weren't actually fearsome. They were nice guys. I hope you enjoyed my story. (Mongols are one of China's 55 ethnic minorities)

Keeping back 32, 000 virgins for the violent soldiers that have just slaughtered your parents in one attack. I wonder why? The spoils of war, together with their donkeys and food, all in gods name mind. So its ok

one good thing the Genghis Khan have is that he let all of his people to have religion, whatever religion that is, he just didn't care about it as long as his people's religion doesn't obstruct anything. yes it may make his people do their religious things secretly if they are so religious or so into it, but at least they are allowed to have a religion.

the khans tried that with Vietnam 3 times and failed between 1258-1288 and eventually got drove out in the end. they were very smart warriors and brutal leaving their destruction where ever they go. despite all that, they weren't even come close to what the American did to Vietnam.

Hungarian here. His troops slaughtered half of all Hungarians without any provocation. They ruined the country and turned it into a wasteland. It was a genocide. No respect for them, I hate them with passion for their crimes against us.

The one mistake in videos, they actually couldn't really invade parts of Caucasus, especially Vainakhs (ancestors of Chechnya) and one Georgian city. They lost to this small mountainous nation twice.
