The battle of Heraclea was one of the three major battles the king of Epirus had against Rome. In 280 BC, the two armies meet near the river Siris. These engagements brought meaning to the word we currently understand as a Pyrrhic victory. A victory so costly, that it is just as bad as a defeat. This is a cinematic battle depicting Rome's first major conflict between two different army tactics (the Greek phalanx and the roman legion. Pyrrhus, however has a nasty surprise at the end. A Roman gets knocked to the ground by an elephant. The elephant comes closer.
The Roman: Its ok, I've got this, I was told I can just counter this elephant by being brave.
Elephant: Stomp

Amazing. Looks like a movie with real people. The sense of computer generated figures may now be, very nearly, a thing of the past
