Battle of Gaugamela | Alexander the Great - Massive Historical Cinematic Total War Battle

The Battle of Gaugamela is the most famous and most decisive for Alexander the Great, the Macedonian King, as he completely destroyed the Persian Empire in a mere span of around 5 years. All of it culminated in a battle near a village in Persia, Gaugamela where he faced King Darius III with 47, 000 battle-hardened troops against a force that is triple his army size. The monstrous Persian Empire allowed Darius to amass this massive army, bringing a diversity of troops from all corners of the empire. As Alexander approaches the battlefield, he was camping on a hill near the open field of Gaugamela and rested his troops there. As his troops were preparing to advance in the morning, Alexander is said to have overslept and joined his troops at noon. He mainly directly commanded the right flank along with the famous companion cavalry and Parmenion, his most senior, commanded the left flank. He deployed in a slanted formation and his strategy was to open up his center lines as bait for the Persian king to send most of his army there. With the strength of his companions, he would use this opening to charge directly at the Persian king with the intent to kill and claim the Empire for himself. The number of units in this cinematic is not to scale and is not historically accurate. This cinematic was realized using Attila Total War with the Ancient Empire modification. Alexander. was a man of a higher intelligence & a very capable commander! Very brave! Always was present on the front & participant in charge & always controlling his troops! This battle was a great victory that mark the beginning of the end of the Persian empire he beat the hell out of Darius! Although Alexander was great in double capacity of that as excellent politician! Because he was smart enough to preserved the different people that he conquered in his political philosophy & used them for his own benefit to fuel with money & resources his war effort of keep conquering at that time the knowing world! But how much different the world might had been if Alexander instead going east had choosing to go west

I have proffs! you have NOTHING. You have only the words of the historians today. But the historians today they gess! Arianus knew exactly the numbers of the armys from the military books of the generals of the Greek Alexander!

A huge but mostly untrained polyglot army using outmoded tactics led by an amateur but adequate general with sufficient military experience (Darius) versus a smaller but well trained veteran homogenous army using innovative tactics led by a military genius (Alexander. The outcome of this conflict was preordained before it even began.

After all, every government has an end, the Persian Empire also ruled over 50% of the people for more than 200 years, but 100 years later the Iranians ousted the Seleucid government and with the formation of the Parthian government again showed who is the strongest country.

I have seen other videos presenting the Battle of Gaugamela and examining Alexander's strategies, but this is thed best presentation of what the battle may actually have looked like! Really excellent work!

There has been an eternal smear campaign against Alexandros because he (Hellenism) is a threat to the globalists. even in his grave he is feared in that he represents truth.

It would be better to make films that show how to solve social problems.
Het zou beter zijn om films te maken die laten zien hoe je sociale problemen op lost.

These are great battle scenes but it would be more exciting if someone narrated instead of reading the small subtitles. Still great stuff

There were no greek soldiers among the Macedonian there Tebans THRACIANS and greek there were mercenaries among the Persians under Darius

So Alexander lost nearly a third of his army at Gaugamela if the simulation is of any indication in lieu of hard evidence.
