Who wrote the scipt for this video Without violence are you dreaming or just ignorant Archaeological evidence confirms widespread pre-Columbian warfare among Native American tribes across North America, dating back 6, 0008, 000 years. Not to mention we have many native sources (and oral traditions that tell of the warring tribes among each other. tribal disputes, blood conflict, territorial wars, honor revenge, resources wars etc. so don't act like it was one cohesive nation between the native tribes. By the way humans are all native and we have been nomadic all over this world on every continent and every skin color. It's all our lands. NO ONE WAS HERE FIRST, and not one society was not affected by occupiers or wars against them. Including the Europeans that everyone loves to demonize. BTW I love all my native brothers and sisters all over the world.

Why are you putting Anishinaabe people out of the picture.
You shouldn't be telling our story.
Simply put Anishinaabe are Early Hopewell/Mississippian Tribe. Top actuality. Brother tribe, as the whites call it.
which is actuality Sister.
we had a matriarchal hierarchical structure at one point, untill she was sacrificed in Mexico, and it started a war, in chaco Canyon.
She's actually Dipicted in early Mexican/Aztec Art.
As A Giant Woman being beheaded. That was our Matriarch of what was chahokia atbthe time.
The Smithsonian has her remains, you display her as a eatly Giant discovery & Recently claim hervasva Red-Head VIKING, DISGUSTING.
We had 3 sites. 1 BIGGER THAN CHAHOKIA.
Numerous trade Mounds, signal mounds, etc.
NOT BAD, BUT NOT ACTUALLY ACCURATE.

This was a well-researched video. I've studied the Native Americans for a long time and found this small documentary very informative and historically accurate. People often think the native American tribes were simple nomads, but they were quite sophisticated and complex with long-distance relationships.
Those arguing that cultures like the Adena or even the Hopewell were violent should take an actual look at the archaeological record. On top of that I find those pushing the narrative that they were violent use this as a means to justify colonization.
Great video. Keep it up!

Cahokia Mounds is in Illinois! Collinsville Il to be exact. I have been there soooo many times. This is the 3rd video I have heard it said, it is in Missouri. Just because it is within 50 miles of St. Louis does not put it in another state! As an Illinois citizen most of my life, I'm kinda pissed about this. Cahokia Is Not In Missouri and Chicago is only a small top corner of us that does not define the rest of the state! Fact Check before releasing a video!

Everything was great, until you started with the Climate Change Narrative.
I remember it was the new ice age
The Global Warming
Remember the icebergs were going to melt, 20 years later nothing
Now Global Warming.
Would GOD create something imperfect.
If you believe climate change you don't believe there's a GOD. And Be fruitful multiply.
Not reduce your population because of climate change, and a carbon footprint.

I had the chance to look at a very large map made in 1852 which showed more tribes than I could count. Everything east of the Mississippi looked as it does today but the west was filled with the names of tribes and bands that I've never heard before in numbers greater than I would have thought. That map burned in a fire unfortunately and I was hoping that a master copy existed in the library of Congress.

I truly wonder what caused the Americas to not create empires or technological acheivements compared to the rest of the world. I almost wonder if there was, but due to the smallpox outbreak the culture and history just broke down with it. Imagine a black death followed by the Mongols conquerring Europe, would we have any idea what was there before

Matter of fact the Wyandot was thought to be people that were displaced mostly from the Attignawantan and that means people of the bear and that's were my lineage came from the Wyandot also came out of the tiononati tabacco/petun people there lineage comes from the wendat but they were never part of the Huron Wendat Confederacy

Sorry but the idea of some peaceful red mans paradise before Columbus is a hippies pipe dream. They were killing, defililing and stealing from eachother. Just like any group of humans ever. Its okay to be on the loosing side of history just be truthful.

Excellent video thank you! The amount of research you did is plain to see and truly impressive, keep up the great work as always! Great work with pronunciations too, there were a lot of hard words in there lol and they were for the most part spot on!

This is very poorly done. Without violence, I doubt that. Nothing about the Canadian native nations as the Canada/US border meant nothing to them, nor should it. You have a long way to go with reconciliation and decolonization. A shame.

first map i see errors. 1000 AD the Kiowa were further north near the Dakotas. And Siouxan tribes were further east, Indiana or Illinois. Also you missed the Easter Sioux tribes from western Virginia down to the Carolinas.

There's some definite issues with this presentation. Comparing some groups across wide gaps of time without making that clear. Presenting educated guesses as facts.
I appreciate the topic a great deal but please do better.

You do realize that they found remains of Solutreans in the East Coast dating from before the native Americans Academics discard it like for anything that goes against their mainstream belief as usual

Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula and Isle Royale were centers for ancient copper mining by Indigenous peoples (the Old Copper Complex) for thousands of years, starting around 6, 000-8, 000 years ago

Amazing perspective. Native American tribes weren’t static groups they evolved, adapted, and reshaped themselves over generations. History feels much more alive after watching this.

Strange how humans being human in the North American region differed so vastly with the concept of peace from its European counterparts. I have questions

America is everything from Alaska in the north to Argentina in the south. It is inaccurate to use this term referring only to the US in a hystorical video.
