Hey what about this stratergy?
First Grandfather and sister cross the bridge. The time taken will be 10mins. John's sister takes 2 mins to come back. Therefore, totally, it would be 12 mins.
Now John and his father cross the bridge in 5 mins. (So 12 +5=17)
Is that correct?

First, 1min and 2 min will go; 1min will return (2min + 1min = 3min)
then 5min and 10 min will go; 2min will return (10min + 2min = 12min)

No they didn-t. I mean they took 15 to cross the bridge in 15 mins the train leave in leave in 15 too n they must took sometime to get in to the train.
