What Do the 16 Personality Types Mean? ft. Austin Castro

Austin breaks down the meanings of the 16 personality types in the Myers Briggs test and explains some of its history. Austin's radicallizard: Lots of this isn't exactly right, but ultimately is decent enough to start with. For an example, there are many extroverts who believe themselves to be ambiverts because they don't fit the stereotype for extroversion: party people who are always outgoing and not very reserved. In reality all that there truly is to it is whether your energy comes from people or from lack of people, and it has nothing to do with whether you actually like people or not. (This may sound contradictory at first, sorry)
I also understand that it can be hard to go over a lot of information over a brief amount of time, but cognitive functions need to be at least acknowledged.

Doing MBTI tests without basic understanding of cognitive functions theory may lead to getting wrong result. But once you get your type right the accuracy of the descriptions can get pretty scary.
Also, more often than not, doing just one test starts an avalanche that ends in some kind of personality analysis obsession. Everybody enjoy your internets.

Did anyone read the 1st fact at the start of the video, it was Missing someone often can cause insomnia.
Me: thinks about fictional characters
Me: wishes they were real everyday
Well that explains it.

Some of what was said in this video is completely wrong. It's not that someone is an introvert or an extrovert, but that each of the four functions are either introverted or extroverted.
reply

It's best to study the functions of mbti than to take a test, which can be misinterpreted and do not usually give the correct personality type for the taker of the test.

I'm an ENFP, I've taken the test and it fits me very well. I do find certain things that fit for me for both extroverts and introverts though lol
reply

I am an INFJ. I always got confused with the N and the function behind Sensing/Intuition in general. Good thing that this is clarified now.
reply

Newly awakened INFJ here lol- wow, Im laughing and crying at the same time discovering that I am not actually alone.
reply

I bet absolutely NOBODY else here is an ENTP-A
C'mon I've never met another of my kind. I feel like an alien fam

Thank you. I have been looking at videos to help me with my studies and this one has been the most interesting.

Love the video! By the way, you are a walking ENFP stereotype- could tell from the first 10 seconds
