Dopamine is mostly related to action and craving (it creates action or craving, it's released when this 'desire/craving' fulfilled.
Which is also why you feel bad/sad when what you expected to happen, didn't, it crashes (below baseline) rather than being released.
Hugging and social connections relate to oxytocin similar but different, once (roughly speaking) dopamine is released it turns into oxytocin which gives the that amazing feeling we all want.
Slight nuanced, and properly not entirely correct as it's much more complex. But I wanted to mention it still, because almost everyone makes the mistake between dopamine and oxytocin, and other neuron chemicals btw I love cold showers.

The body is such a complex structure with different mechanisms that is not even a piece of cake to understand it thoroughly, I just love learning more about the human structure and to realize dopamine is a chemical that makes you feel good is such a fascinating mechanic our body can produce. What a wonderful video to educate our minds and extend our knowledge towards the structure of the human mind and how to use it.

Absolutely SPLENDID guidance! And all actions that don't require complicated rituals or costly apparatus yet payoff in quality of life measure.
I particularly appreciated that you stated get YOUR sleep (not _get exactly 8 hours sleep_ ) as everyone has different sleep requirements. Excessive sleep over one's individual requirement is as bad(or worse) than too little.

Thanks, Psych2Go, for this video. I was listening it carefully and I came to the conclusion that I lacked several items from your list. For example, I listened to one of my favorite songs about Dopamine like a week ago, and when I listened to it after watching your 10 habit video, I felt a rush of adrenaline.

I personally rarely comment on social media in general but thanks for this. Really glad this was posted after I'm disciplining myself into doing the thing i love which is breaking (dance.
You could say i just did 80% of what you just described. Always a pleasure learning from your content!

I guess the cold shower thing is why in finland people sometimes make holes into frozen lakes and swim in them, or not really swim but just sit in there for a while, although the actual reason is probably just to cool off after a sauna.
reply

I never understood cold showers until you explained it just now. Start off comfortable and work yourself down to a lower, comfortable temperature. I feel kinda silly for thinking it had to be cold right away, but at least now I know!
reply

I had a panic attack in the middle of taking a hot shower. And I didnt know about colder showers raising dopamine. But it makes sense now because the only way that I could stop my panic attack is by turning the water colder.

I don't feel dopamine like I used to after hitting my head in January. I can try to be happy but it doesn't really work. I am on a antidepressant but all it's doing is making me calmer but not happy

this video doesnt feel normal without the ''Please note that this video is made for educational purposes only'' thing, but literally nothing about that sentence relates to the topic of this video

Its nearly impossible for me to feel pleasure. If I do, its only for a couple minutes and then Im flat again. I think this condition is called Anhedonia, which comes from depression.
reply

This happens to me while i listen to tunes, sometimes you just get an absolute overflow of dopamine and IT causes you to dance instead of dancing causing the dopamine

Hey! I know you guys made many videos about love, relationships, attraction amd more but do you think you could do a couple videos about virtual relationships or crushes?

Finally, a video that doesn't have that pink background CC! I quit watching the videos that had that because it messed up my viewing and made it hard to watch.

Wow. Thanks. I went through multiple years of not having emotional support from parents, stopped seeking it, and now I'm a prude for it. Great. Just great.

I feel it whenever the song Favorite Song by Toosii comes on the radio. I get happy and start rapping along with the song no matter where I am when I hear it.

Ive been wanting to say this for so long but does anyone else think that Psych2go's voice is soothing? Like her voice just helps a lot with the video itself

Instructions unclear, Im currently sleeping in a forest and discussing politics with the bears while completing my homework and listening to Led Zeppelin

Question tho, would these work with a person with ADHD such as myself. Because it's a dopamine imbalance and all. Check lists give me anxiety
reply

Beware the dopamine addiction tho, it's so real and really messed up when you hit the spot where you get upset about the things you enjoy

Killing chickens is an anti dopamine act. Be nice to beings with whom we share a common ancestor--All non vegans are animal abusers.
