Do you wonder how your family affect who you become? If so, you might enjoy this video. Also, we're giving away PSI pendent if you're interested farkin: 1 Strict parents codependence.
Strict is a mild description. However, I am quite independent.
+++
2 Divorced parents higher romantic demands.
No. Parents stuck together.
+++
3 Authoritarian parents Depression.
Authoritarian is also too mild a description. I am not depressed. However, I am quite frustrated at how most women view a short man as unworthy to the point that it is OK to mock them.
+++
4 More TV than books Poor communications skills.
No. We did not get a lot of TV time. I didnt read a lot, but I am a decent dictator, er, communicator.
+++
5 Copied parents open to other cultures.
No. If I copied my parents, I would be abusing those that I can.
+++
6 Spanked by parents Sneaky.
Spanked? That would have been preferable to the constant whipping from trumped-up charges (yes, they usually were. Am I sneaky? No, I am honest to a fault (with the exception when someone has been proven to be sneaky towards me or those I am partial to. It probably has to do with how you quickly learned to just take the abuse. After all, you will be to not accept the beatings by the time you grow large enough.
+++
7 Addicted parents Perfectionism.
No. Parents were not addicted, they were just abusive.

Family has affected my personality all right! My father was an abusive ass hole, my mother never learned how to raise kids, my big brother was a jerk at least my sister is more caring. It's just that be couse of other family members, Growing up learning how to love and be loved then I later found out I never learned how to love in the first place! I learned responsibility growing up (or so I thought) so after deeling with legal isues I found out I never learned resposibility in the first place. Even when I did no wrong I had to except the fact that if they say you did it, you did it! Admit it and say you did it even if you are innocent! Telling the homest to God truth won't help you but make things worse! Your better off thelling them what they want to hear! I tell you, the people I grew up with give family a bad name! It also explains why I can't find romance!

When I was growing up, I always saw my mom use the ATM and I thought that was the coolest thing that money can just come from a machine. After she saw that I was storing coins in my draw, my mom got me a toy version of an Automatic Teller Machine so that I would store my coins in there and I still kept it in my room to this day even if I haven't used it to store coins it still reminds me of how I wanted to be like my mom.
As for my dad, me and my sisters do enjoy our time with him whenever we go out and he's the one that had us do bowling at a young age. At the same time, I can't exactly tell him about female problems because he's a male and I'm not confortable telling him about these things but I am receptive on what he has to say since he has more experience than I do.

Grew up in extremely physically abusive household. Disabled from attempted suicide, which my therapist said was caused by my parents. My personality is extremely closed off & shy. My mom said the suicide attempt was my fault and she takes no responsibility for my being disabled, even refusing to install railings at our house. Every time I needed to get in or out, i required assistance. I told her what my therapist said about how I was predisposed to suicide bc of her and my even more physically abusive dead dad, but she brushed it off and said that didn't count towards how good of a parent she was. Very telling.

So, alcoholic father who divorced when I was young, getting beaten as a child, death threats against me when I got angry about doing all the work for my parents. Parents getting angry that I wasn't working. When I was working they got angry I wasn't helping and also couldn't study in the way that was most optimal for me. Oh, and also learning that apparently, the more pain you inflict on yourself the more risilient you are and that self help is the best help that should always be used along with extreme expectations + my dad saying my dream job is trash.
What does that get me? : )

I watched this video to answer my essay. I always wonder why I am so lazy doing household chores. My mom always choses clothes for me for more than half of my life. When I was 17, I chose my own clothes and she was SO DISAPPOINTED, she'd been avoiding me for 2 days. Now I'm 19, still lazy to do household chores. They're still very strict.
I'm a sneaky person, I always lie about my whereabouts just to avoid their angry voices. I'm Asian, a Filipino to be exact. And I can't wait to have my freedom once I graduate.

Does sneakiness from being spanked as a child also apply to secretiveness? I have a lifelong habit of hiding things from family and friends not necessarily because they are wrong but out of fear of being teased or criticized or rejected. I even hid books from the library on science and evolution from my parents out of fear they would disapprove, and I was terrified that they would reject me if I didnt follow their religion. I still tend to be secretive about my spiritual explorations.
Perhaps it is the same thing?

My parents are divorced, and thats why my mother is always angry and sad. She usually lets out the sadness or anger at me, which made my life a bit harder. I try to calm her down saying that its okay and what she should do to stop her anxiety.
My father is actually really nice to me and he never ever smacked me or got into a fight with me. Hes like the friend I never had.
But, even if my father pays more attention to me, I love both my mother and my father equally!

So thats why I dont have good communication with my parents. I was obsessed with SpongeBob since I was like 4! I dont remember my parents reading me bedtime stories of course, they read to me, and thats probably how I was able to read when I was 3, but its just different when its a bedtime story. It just seems better when its a bedtime story. Idk why.

You must have a punishment in some form to develop a continuous of there is consequences sometimes some children need a little powwow a small in not to harm or kill them or abuse them because frankly some children dont care about punishments at all. But left unpunished results are never beneficial in the long run some many reasons and points.

i was homeschooled until 5th grade and after that point i was a 'gifted kid' and i struggle with a lot of self confidence and morivation issues. im also bad at focusing on one thing for long but thats probably unrelated.

My family is messed up. We have a really bad relationship. My parents don't really pay attention to me because of their busy work. I felt abounden. That's why i'm here still can't find my own self-identity. I act depends on other people though of me. Everyone controlling me like a doll.

Whosoever is hurt over here, know that you're valued and worthy of care. You will find someone who will truly care for you in your life soon. Just know that you're worthy of everything and be happy because life needs you to be happy, value your time, because it's (life's) beautiful.

3: 32 I wasnt spanked yet I was whipped with belts and cords instead. This makes sense because I often snuck around at dark. Stole things and cover it up accidentally breaking things and lied about it etc. Could it be why Im passive aggressive?
reply

my parents slap me, pinch me, spanked me, threaten to lock me in the garage, spray me with water, pour water on my, use my mental illnesses against me, and berate me and i am suffering in school. i barely go and my grades are almost all Fs

And if you grow up with a Psycopath, you tend to be scared of how people might respond because you think any of your actions will enrage someone.
