All of these arguments in the comments are hilarious fr
A lot of people seem to be so tensed but? Just relax. No one is telling you what you should do or who you should be. The video just reminds that there is another kind of relationships and that's ok. You can build your own happiness and it doesn't have to be literally the same as the other's. If you feel like you wanna have romantic relationships with one person that's fine. If you feel like you wanna date more than 1 person that's fine. That's just how YOU feel! It's YOUR own heart. You don't have to force yourself to smth you don't want or need. But also you shouldn't tell other people how they should build their happiness.
Y'all have one common rule - keep yourself and the other persons safe! which means communicate, be open and respectful, don't shame yourself and your partner(s) for any feelings, just talk about them. The only thing all of you should do is to create a HEALTHY and safe space together, doesn't matter you date 1 or more people. Does it sounds bad? I don't think so.
Main point of the comment is we all should respect each other. Because no one will stop being who they are even If you say some shit to them, it'll just create absolutely unnecessary stress and tense, which is a problem.

I feel like being monogamous is just wrong and fueled by jealousy. Im just like that im just monogamous and im with my partner who is polyamourous. And i want her to br happy and be free and date and irt with anyone she wants. Its just i personally need the feeling to be the only one, that's just how i am and i cant change that like she cant change herself. I feel like im wrong here. I told her she does t have to change for me, even tho i love her and wanna be with her forever. Id rather her be happy but she just loves me so much she doesnt wanna breakup and i dont know what to do. I feel awful for not letting her flirt or date others but it just makes me feel sick and scared and betrayed and feel like im not enough just thinking about it. Its complicated and i hate it. I just feel like im nothing without her. But i want her to be happy. So i dont know what to do.

I'm not polyamorous myself, but open for more partners in a relationship, I just don't have the need for it personally. I think the best argument I have heard for why it is so ingrained in us that we are supposed to be monogamous is from a time of smaller villages/cities where it was strictly necessary to be sure who the parents were to avoid inbreeding as they weren't able to test genetics. This however is not the case anymore and we shouldn't consider it immoral to desire more partners as we are not naturally monogamous. This is no excuse to cheat on a partner in a monogamous relationship obviously.

Poly means your not man enough to leave that girl because you always wanted her and she's the one but of another man gets to have her and your okay with it shh man she's ran threw you need to be a man and let her go a h o e belongs in the streets not in your bed don't be this guy and same goes for girls only people who agree with this just aren't ready to be in a relationship simple as that have fun but when your in a relationship it's because youve settled down don't play while your in a relationship she didn't look happy to me looks like that eye took a punch

Happy Thursday everyone! How are you are doing? Psych2Go is on a mission to bring awareness to topics and issues that are less talked about. In this video, we cover polyamory, a term for being attracted or in a relationship with multiple people at once. Do you know someone like this? If so, consider sharing your experiences in the comment below. We'd love to hear your stories. As always, if you want to support us, you can do so by sharing our videos on your social media. Thank you!

Yes, you can love two people at the same time. People don't understand what love is though. Love is not the foundation of a healthy relationship though. For a relationship to work, you must give your 100% to the other person. You cannot give your 100% to two or more people.
You can love multiple people, be romantically attracted to others, desire intimacy with others other than your partner, but that does not mean that polyamory is for you.

Bruh just be friends with benefits you can't hurt no one no attachment and you can still be with other people watch you get jealous of there other getting more attention and be hurt when you your self go and do the same thing haha just don't commit to something if you wanna be a h o e I get it were humans we like to explore but having your gf taking d by someone else doesn't bother you sorry to tell you your a simp and she knows it
reply

i might have to actually be in a relationship to actually understand this, but if my partner needs something i cannot offer, i dont see why they should limit themselves to someone who can only satisfy half their needs.
likewise, if i need something that my partner cannot give, i think that its fair that i pursue that in addition to my current partner.
i dont see why a full human shouldnt have the full human experience

I dated a women who was all about a polygamous relationship, it wasn't for me she was clear but it was super duper hard to accept especially as we had a connection but she was able to go connect with someone else aswell both mentally and physically. Eventually it just didn't work and I was left feeling as though there was something I didn't get, be careful because this way of being in a relationship can be insulated.

5: 12 And that is where you are wrong. I met someone who could fulfill every desire that I have. That is what everybody should be looking for, one person who fulfills you, not multiple people. Just because you are attracted to other people doesn't mean you desire them. In fact, if I am attracted to someone I walk the other way because it never feels anywhere as good as the person who can fulfill every desire I have.
reply

You can be monogamous and not possessive or jealous. It's just a different kind of comfort and agreement in a commitment with somebody! Different people, different needs and worldviews. Don't mean you're a sheep. Sorry, but the video doesn't come from an informative, objective place, which is the kind of place where psychological knowledge should be shared from.

I'm Polyamorous, but can still feel jealousy at times. Normal feelings don't go away because you're Polyamorous. You get to work on your communication skills and you get to deal with traumas because being Polyamorous will bring EVERYTHING to the surface. It can get you to a place of growth, healing, and living a beautiful life.

I want to try polyamory. but I dont trust my current partner bc he lie a lot if I can trust him, I will inquire. If I break up, Im doing this next time 100%
( we on a lease and Im doing college and have one more year, so thats why Im in the position Im in rn lmaoooooo)

reply

People are hard to deal with in general. I wish I had two somewhat distant partners who were ok with me only seeing them when I have the capacity for it I fluctuate way too much in my energy but cant be held down by one person. I still need my own personal freedom too
reply

I like the idea. My ideal polygamous relationship would be a closed one with 2 others. We'd do everything together. Sleep in the same bed, vacations etc. The feelings we'd share between each other would be mutual and everyone is given equal love and attention.
reply

This feels so validating. These are exactly how i feel and thinking that no one can relate to this bc polyamory is so frowned upon and people can be so mean. I'm so thankful for this video for summing my feelings up better than I ever could
reply

I was having a really hard time deciding if I am polyamorous but after watching this video Im content. Ive had polyamory tendencies for years now but always questioned if it was a phase. This video helped me.

Idk I've always been super misogynistic but me and my gf both have strong feelings for a girl in our friend group and we all know it and are thinking about trying it out. we will see how it goes
reply

Shipping Anne, Marcy and Sasha from Amphibia together inspired me to support polyamory rights in real life, although it wasn't the first poly ship I supported in one of my fandoms.
reply

I guess its over before it started for me. i can't be with the person I want. they want this. I wanna be the only one they need. They are my best friend. so im losing them too
reply

My boyfriend is interested in a poly relationship but says its not necessary. This video just makes me sad. But I'm glad other people can be happy in that kind of relationship.
reply

In the majority of the world polyamory means men. Men have a harem of women. Most men are repulsed by a woman who wants to be with more than one man. It really isnt fair
reply

Im not a cheater
I hate when the other partners get there alone time with the other partner
But i like so many people

reply

I cannot stop thinking about this and feeling this way but I love my partner and don't know what to do it's been three years these feelings don't go
