So between my best friend and I, they are the most outgoing of the two of us. They end up in more relationships and generally have more people going after them. They also have more things going on in their life that they want to share with me. This meant that they kept on calling me to tell me about this, which I didn't mind. Until I got tired of hearing the same things over and over again. Because I don't know how to say no (and they don't know how to take no for an answer) I ended up ignoring their phone calls. And they just kept calling (even at two in the morning sometimes. Then one day they just stopped.
When the time came for me to send them a message (they needed to get back to somebody and that person thought that they were being ignored so they turned to me) my friend ignored all my messages, even though they were important for THEM and not me.
I was going to an emotional rough patch a few days later and ended up sending them a 3-minute-long apology voice note. That they only listened to days after I had sent it and had given a cold response in return. A week later they sent me a message saying that they were done being petty and that we could talk again.

Sharing my current life status:
I live with my parents and my older brother, he is a 27 years old adult and unfortunately the reason of my motivation is getting drained day by day. He is a spoiled brat that constantly make me feel bad every time. He does not do one single chore, complain about the mess my cats do, and last argument we had he said i wasn't his sister, he didn't like me and was annoyed whenever he saw me. He also said mean things to our mother too, but that is the point: i came to ignore his existence in the house and my mother said i should not treat him like that and not feel like that either. He is the kind of person that says whatever comes to his mind, no matter how hurtful his words are and then, when it is convenient, he talks normally like nothing happened. He never apologizes. Never. He got used to not do so and everyone will forgive him. but not that time. I know i am a Christian but i am tired of him. It is not the first time and surely the last he does that. I swear i am not a resentful person, but i'd ratger forgive someone that is truly sorry. i think even God only forgives the ones who wish to be forgiven. If anyone can guve an advice. i really need it now

Omg Thank you so much Psych2go! This helped me a lot because whenever I am rude to someone without me knowing and then they tell me it's rude I have a bit of a hard time apologizing so you see I have many problems and this video told me most of the problems I had and how to be better and healthier. Like in a cosplay video I sent some hate to it and I didn't know what to say when someone said that they were getting alot of hate and that I should apologize and I didn't know if it was the right moment to say sorry and im a kid so I don't understand much stuff in life. so I cried not knowing what to do (I am emotional okay) then I watched this video and I said sorry In the best way I could do. So thank you so much! (No im not laughing)

You should never apologize for being successful. But, you also shouldn't apologize if you aren't successful. I don't mean, you went around bragging, as if the world was your oyster.
Example: at 54 years of age, I thought I'd be doing more with the job part of my life, instead of working at a manufacturing plant. On the other hand, i do a good job, and I'm a reliable employee.
I wish you would talk about that, sometime. I have never apologized, and i should not have to.

Nobody is perfect. Some parents need to understand that. My mom obviously doesn't. Sje tells me that all rthe time but she expects me to be perfect. I'm tired of it. She gets mad at me for every little thing. She makes me feel like I can't do anything right. I cant go to my dad because he died. My stepdad moved out and I never want to see him again so the only thing I can do is go to the school counselor. So I have to wait another week.

I've somewhat recently came out of a long, toxic relationship. Now I find myself apologizing for not being available, not wanting to listen to friend's problems all the time, and asking for help. Even when I know I'm doing it for the better of myself, I hope I can break these habits I gained over the past few years and go back to being comfortable with prioritizing my happiness first

I do apologize on everything this video just saidespecially the ending a toxic relationship, friend actually, just ended it and i feel guilty but i'm trying to not feeling that way and feel sad my heart is so heavy right now. he's actually a good friend but i can't take it anymore by saying sorry everytime to him and he doesn't even care

Just because you apologize for something your at fault for doesn't mean your guaranteed to avoid punishment or get a lesser punishment. Apologies mean very little, even if your faulty actions were minor. A judge can easily give someone a harsh punishment even when there were plenty of reasons to give the person a second chance.

I am almost 34 now any in my experience there are two kinds of people: Those who never apologize and those who do it all the tame. The latter ones are bringing balance to this thing. They have to, sadly.

I always apologise to make everyone happy. even though its not my fault. Everyone ended happy except me. In fact Im even made to feel wrong to be happy. Number 1, 4, 5 & 7 applies to me the most.
