When you think of someone who is mentally strong, what traits come to mind? There are a lot of stereotypes surrounding mental strength. Most of them are about the idea that in order to be mentally strong, you have to always be happy or immune to negative emotions. But what do you think? Will you agree with these 8 points in the video or do we need to include more? Also, we previously made a video on signs you are mentally stronger than most people

1.
I hide my Emotions from Strangers. Not from People I trust. Not sure if that Counts.
2.
I have some Regrets that Haunt me.
These are unfortunately big stuf however.
3.
Ok I am safe there. I dont let otvers sway me.
4.
Doing that too much. I am super direct and call people out if they overstep my boundaries.
Often leads to me making superious at work angry xD
5.

Funny enough nobody ever notices.
And thus think I never change my mind.
6.
First Rule for a Superior.
If you want to be in Charge. The first thing you take is responsibility.
If you cant do that dont try to take control.
7.
Doing that too much.
I often think I accept failure too easily and give up on something too fast.
At the same time I am generally setting a high standard for myself and thus get annoyed if I cant meet that.
I need to work on that I guess.
8.
Depends on my Mood.
I like having Company.
But I need alone time in between.
I am actually Introverted.
I generally do not like being constantly with others.

Weak people be like: That 's because they want to feel needed in this world. They have a strong longing to be accepted, at least I do.
I don't mean harm. A lot of the bad stuff I did in the past happened pretty much unknowingly to myself, and now that i know I want to change, and I WILL change.
I have the right to be in this world, just like any person, so videos like this that are mostly describing human behaviour in general are not helping. A narcissist will OVERemploy these tactics for sure, as I recognise some that I used, sometimes also knowingly in the past, but a lot of them are normal when not overused, especially respecting boundaries (number 3 and 4) could easily lead to being taken advantage of when not spoken out in a civilized way.

Video In Question is argumentative and speculative in nature: Presents a Specific Behavioral Model that sounds reasonable, there is NO corroborative and supportive evidentiary data and information presented as a basis of foundation to proffer such argument.
Presentation allegedly seems to suggest that it is based solely on opinion, absence of official and formal authoritative references, it appears to give advice rather than offer scientific basis for it's contentions, it is unlikely that it could stand up to the rigors of scientific peer review.

I have a very great friend from Canada who is a very mentally strong person. They are very honest, and they know themselves very well. They also know the little details about someone, like why or how theyre insecure, and sometimes their favorite things. They also love science, and want to become a teacher when they grow up. A year ago, they used to bottle up their emotions, but now theyve learned to let go. They are a very huge influence in my life and I am very inspired by them. To you, my friend, I am very proud of you.

It took a good portion of my life and a lot of life lessons to learn from, but I can finally say that I am an emotionally strong person. I have learned from many mistakes and always strive to be better than the day before. My inner work is very important and I absolutely love my alone time. I see so many people who torture themselves daily. Quite sad, but that is their lesson to learn.

This video has cleared it all. I always doubted myself especially in my past but now I'm glad to watch this video and feel confident about myself. This really proved that I'm mentally strong and I was always right. Thank you for this video. :)

I'm mentally strong and I don't even know, btw is the second time I use this type of sentence in less than 2 years.
I'm thinking I'm selfish because I reject some invitations and use a lot of my time thinking about me

Its a learning process as you go and experience life. A good start is given by smart & experienced parents with guidance and DISCIPLINE! Which is missing today in some quarters. Drop toxic people fast with out conscience.

There's nothing wrong with attempting perfection if you're capable of it. Not everyone has that skill. I think it needs to be restated as Never wanting to fail

Hiding emotions is part of my culture. And to be honest nobody cares whether you're happy or depressed. So what is the point of showing them?

My ex fiancee yelled at me all the time because his therapist told him to not bottle his emotions. He now yells at the wall because I left.

The problem of boundaries is if you have a career where you're not allowed boundaries. You are not an individual.
