Animation is not a genre it is a medium. Inside Out is definitely not the same genre as Watership Down or The Incredibles. Animation is a medium, not a genre. Animation can do, and has done, all genres well and is an excellent medium for all genres.

I group sci-fi and fantasy together, so my genres are fantasy/sci-fi/animation and comedy. I like fantastical things, surreal things, and to laugh. Then, of course, are the sci-fi Westerns, like the original Star Wars or Firefly/Serenity.
