Today I went to CIP, Kanke for a therapy session. My therapist Ms. Prakriti was astonished to see me after a long time coz when I didn't paid visit for long then she called me over phone and asked about my mental health. It sounded that I was at my best, absorbed in all sort of worldly ties and of course my time at Gym.
After listening to me she said that the pent up emotions which I had embedded deep below has again emerged out. The dormant memories has been uprooted again.
No doubt I was doing superb but this setback has given a pause to me.
She explained that my brain gives too much importance to them. Their well being, confirm and concern has become a function which my brain thinks for. No harm or security lapse for them can be tolerated by me.
Well taking concern for some one isn't bad but too much may be detrimental for me. The brain processes the information what inputs it gets.
But she also mentioned that if the person doesn't gives a positive response then you should understand that your futile efforts are in vain. Your concern may be taken as stalking which ofcourse is correct through their eyes. She advised that slowly and slowly I should train my mind to think lesser of them. Thought processes for them to be lowered.
She advised me in a gentle tone that if it's possible for me than I should move one. Though it's your will, she said. Else it will not only affect my health but output too.
Last time when I saw you, you were a bit bulkier and more chisel shaped but now you gone a bit down, she remarked.
I replied wittingly in a very humble and polite manner. I aren't responsible-the feud between heart and mind and amidst thier fight my biceps and triceps are getting affected.

idk if this would belong but I relate to much. And the pain is real. I was born with ADHD and I've always been misunderstood and lonely until I reached High School, but I didin't have any social skills so I've never known how to have a conversation, I feared peoples opinions too much and still do. And when I did attempt to make friends both irl or online, I was more of a bully, annoying, or a dick and didn't realize it. Now it's been 2 years since I've had a friend, I feel like there is no point in doing so, I don't feel like I will ever be accepted by anyone else.
Now I am 21 and feel like I have nothing to live for. All I do now is live in the past and relive moments when I felt happy whilst wishing I wasn't born with ADHD, now once or twice in a week I have a breakdown and cry, I always fear failure that I would rather try to avoid it as much as possible as I'm too scared I will somehow ruin it or make someone upset. I don't feel like I deserve happiness because I feel like I wasted my life and I cannot forgive myself for doing so, the same is said for my wrong doings and being a jerk to the people who were my friends.
This piece of salt has lost it's flavor, and I don't know what else to do but let any person who sees this know that this is the one person who's never going to be happy for the rest of their life.

I know it's not direct psychology, but the quick degradation of working conditions for our generation is a big part of why the youth are depressed.
I know several people who have diplomas (and NOT for gender studies. For technical stuff, work very hard, and yet had to live in their cars. Unpaid overtime is common in my surroundings. Ungrateful bosses who insult you and push you towards burnout. All of those things have increased dramatically since 30 years ago. Our parents would probably have never accepted those conditions for those terrible wages, and yet, now they often tell us we're lazy and entitled. .Even though we have it much more rough than them!
Even if I had deep issues with my father, those jobs conditions are what truly broke me and me attempt suicide. The traumas related to my dad were pretty bad for my psyche, but would never have me go so far by themselves. And don't give me the it's worse in Africa argument. lm sick of it and it's not even that true anymore!
Our society has a deep sickness. And its roots are the previous generation, which proclaimed greed is good and by doing so, started the pull towards the path of tyranny.

I can relate. I became very upset tonight because of someone being hurtful to me. Thank goodness I've done something about it for now. I have been unhappy for a long time. My happiness is being affected by twats! (Excuse my french)
Some idiot who I know is suppose to be an influence to help people with MH. I'm going through a lot of MH problems which has left me psychologically damaged and he's certainly not helped me tonight. Said I'm wierd, no one is interested in me from a party game he was involved with with a group of friends. He says it as it is and constantly interfers. I've cried tonight, why can't people just be nice? I don't need this I need people around me that will help me.
I'm thankful for the people I have around me right now not a idiot like that. I'd appreciate someone else to be there but it is what it is. I was getting there till I heard this.
I spoke to one of my friends tonight said I'm better than this and they are right. I got to do what's right. I always tell the truth and I don't lie. The rest of them can sodding do one.

I suffer from 1-4, 7, 8 and 9, Im trying hard to better myself and get rid of bad habits, but a lot of that is also is being coped by repressing emotions which isnt good, I feel like im trapped in a loop but im trying my best to get rid of a lot of self destructive habits, im able to be happy but if anything bad or negative happens my self esteem takes a big hit,
like mentioned at 9: 14, I have big episodes that happen for very short times and happen a few times a month and because of how short it is it makes me feel as if im just faking it and that if I get over it so quickly that it makes me feel like its nothing, everyone I know just goes oh hes just having another sad episode just give him some space
and within the next day or two ill get over whatever was bothering me mostly because I was conditioned by toxic masculinity to not be vulnerable

Thank You all at Psych2Go, The content has raised on overview of this concern. The article has a recurring aspect of failed expectation's. This has become a topic of concern. The article that brought this to light resonated with my own value's because of the presentation. I might have outlook's the same as the article. The failed expectation's made an impact on me in it's presentation. The anguish that I have at time's prompted me to ally the article with my own outlook in the occasion it might resonate with our societies attachment with gadget's, group's and so many other of the trapping's of our need to hold our place among our peer's. Step back in reference to the article and come back to your life and to repeat be Grateful for our time, liberties, and the potential we need to fulfill.

i have this huge issue that is that basically i dont want to be like other people or to fit in but just to belong and be accepted by being me i can easily pretend to be someone that others will like to have around and have fun with but i never know if i can trust them to show my true self, i dont need anyone to agree with me or to be just like me but only to accept my oddness? like me even if im confusing or different? sometimes im even afraid to say what i think about stuff because instead of being heard sometimes i get criticized by that and i know that im not doing anything wrong or anything like that but it hurts because it seems like i never get to meet the right people that i can be comfortable with

The problem with being young is that you cant really seek help from anyone unless you tell your parents about it. It also means you have to make yourself look good so you dont embarrass them and yourself. You get all dressed up and you look in the mirror I like this look. I hope it looks good on me. You feel good about yourself for once. But then you see yourself in the mirror. You look gross. Take that off. And you think. Ill just do it tomorrow. tomorrow comes. Ill do it some other day. Another day becomes a week. Another week becomes a month. And eventually a year passes. You think about all of the time youve wasted. But you dont do anything about it.

why? because let's start with the fact that they force you to go to school for 12 years i call it prison sentence to learn subjects you didn't ask for and subject that are useless.
then, you graduate from school going to college, to learn another useless subject. you get the useless degree and THEN is the most fun part
you go to work! yay! for how long? well about 65 years
but wait! what about the joy of life? well no time for that
and then you sit on the couch exhausted from the day at work and become sad knowing you coming back there tomorrow again and again
just so you could pay for the rent to do this meaningless cycle until you die.

It might have something to do with how often men n wemon cheat on each other or the government constantly screwin ppl over or libtards callin regular ppl nazis or any number of thing
But probably the cheating thing, most humans are normal ppl, they dont know how to spot red flags or read body language or understand tone of voice and words used n how they're used n as a result young ppl hook up with bad men n wemon who endlessly use n throw each other away
Its also most likely got alot to do with f-ism n the libtards tryin to screw america, loneliness, lack of drive, there are alot of reasons why young ppl aren't happy

Unpopular answer is. My gen softened these kids. Never tought these kids how to face adversity and come out stronger on the other side.
We pampered and spoiled them because we thought we should change how kids are supposed to raised traditionally.
And we were wrong. Now this kids are willing to almost end there on lives because we gave them fluff and told them the world is all sunshine and rainbows.
I dont have any children of my own but on behalf of all the 40 year old's I apologize. We messed you guys up. Oh and the internet isn't doing you any favors as well.

There's also untreated mental health issues, you'd be surprised the ammount of parents who never bothered to help their kids by get them professional help in case they have something they can't control over affecting them
And they grow up their whole lives blaming themselves until they realize they have some condition, they just didn't know, or didn't think they could have it because our parents came from a time where mental health was looked down upon, as if getting professional advice meant you were just a looney, who deserved to be locked up in a mental institution

I have this feeling that many of today's teens and young adults do certain things (like going to certain places or following certain trends) just because everyone on social media is doing it as well. They feel pressured to do those things just so they could post on social media proving that they've also done it even though they may not have any interest at all in doing those things or following those trends. What's worse is that money could've been unnecessarily wasted on something that wasn't even relevant to them. This is just my opinion

People pleasing. Its okay to say no, have boundaries.
Confusing being busy with being happy.
Undervaluing the process of getting to know ones self and the relationship with yourself.
Reluctance to live in the moment.
Not fully appreciating moments/situations that arent completely perfect/optimized.
Once I worked toward meaningful change in these ways, life got better. Definitely had to start with the ones in the video.
Even just a little bit goes a long way. Take heart. You are very close to a happier you.

I can relate to this. At 17, I've noticed how I've become so easily jealous of other people's artwork on Discord. People in my generation sometimes try so hard to be someone else that they hating themselves when they fail to acheive something. It's not easy to live in a world where you're surrounded by other people that are succesful, it can unmotivate or make you start to question yourself and what you want to do.

My biggest challenges are very likely Comparison with others, Care too much about other's opinions and Fear of failure.
Caring about what others think of me is a problem. Whenever I upset someone, I get really sad. I should learn to let go.
Fear of failure keeps me from trying new things and I feel stuck. Comparison with others I feel sad since everyone else is getting married or traveling and I'm not.

I haven't seen the whole vid yet but fear of failure definitely hit hard, kind of explained a lot and reminded me how in 2nd grade I spelled only 2 words wrong out of all of the spelling tests in the whole school year and I balled my eyes out each time. I still struggle with this fear but it really got me when I realized I was already developing it when I was only 7

As a 21 year old Gen Z I approve this message.
For me it's fear of failure, thinking about my past and present. Those two have made me depressed like nobody's business. Especially thinking of the past and my failures, it got so bad I wanted to kill myself this year in April! I'm trying not to be my own enemy so I'm focusing in other things.

In a world where we're increasingly reliant on connecting electronically and trying to achieve instant gratification, it's all too easy to lose the true touch of socially connecting in person. Making time to spend with others, or even travelling to spend time with others takes a bit of effort but is completely worth it.

Me and my friend were discussing this. We both agree a big reason is because we are expected to know to make a big difference, yet nobody is there to guide us. And also we know so much more than we should be handling. A lot has happened in our lifetimes, and it gets stressful hearing about our world be destroyed.

Thats a lot of victim blaming. teenagers are unhappy because they have to live in a world that offers them nothing. Life in modern societies is soul draining and pointless and if you react to it in a normal way, e. g. with depression, youre being told that youre ungrateful!
