Am I a pathetic loser? I'm 27, still live at home, having never moved out. I have never had a girlfriend or a date, and I don't even have a driver's license. I have both a learning disability and ASD, and sometimes I say unfiltered things or act weird in social moments. I assume my ASD makes me less normal. I don't have too many friends now that I've graduated from college and most of my friends have left town. My coworkers all seem to fit in; I usually stand out. I often feel like a misfit at work. They don't seem to want to include me in on the fun. I guess I can be weird and annoying socially. I wonder if they're better off without me. What's funny is they say you should always be yourself, but that's a fallacy, isn't it? I graduated high school at TWENTY, having been kept back in preschool (speech delay) and homeschooled. I even graduated at a small charter school instead of the superior public high school my younger sister is at. I'm jealous of her; she's stronger than I would've been. and about to be a senior when I was a sophomore her age. I seem slow and helpless and do better with a guide than by myself (my boss basically said that to my face. A disabled man who doesn't match standards, yes, but a failure too?

I hate to sound like a pessimist. Pysch i watch your videos on self worth and i just can't figure it out. No matter what i do i just feel more tired and worn out trying to make myself believe that i'm actually worth a damn in this life. I Know it's a good thing to do so but i have no insurance, no family to talk to, and all my friends are essentially customers and friends. I dont know much of anyone i can fully connect to and when i do it's basically for a day when i'm out of my mind, doing something to numb myself. I'm an artist, i am trying to be an independant animator because it's all i care about is drawing. I am told i'm kind, considerate, smart, great, creative and wonderful and yet i have lived for 30 years and i never ever believed in myself no matter what i did. I might have had times where it wasn't so hard, or maybe i did believe in myself. I just can't hold onto this feeling forever, i wish everyone who can a beautiful and wonderful life. My mind feels so out of place in the real world, hopefully someday i'll just be a drawing forever.

Nah I don't need any support when I had to say hello to emotional numbness at the age of 3! Emotional numbness is when someone stops feeling worried, happy, sad, angry, and all the other feelings. But they do get a lot of mental illnesses and become suicidal. For me, I don't even feel worried about my exams I had in 6th grade. I didn't feel sad when my pet fish died when I was 8 years old. I didn't feel angry when my white tee got ruined. I didn't ever in my life ever since then, feel happy when my birthday arrived. Because I don't feel valuable enough to anyone. And I want more than just money on my birthday, just a little love and maybe even a hug.

I have ADHD which is one of the most common mental disorders in the world. I was fine at school until the teachers found out I had ADHD They got this person who walks around with me in front of all the other students, almost everywhere I go to help with my life in school. All my freinds act completely different around me now. They don't act mean. They just talk to me like there's something wrong with me.
My school completely destroyed all my confidence and now I get bullied and I'm miserable.

I don't know my real problem. I just don't know my worth.
I achieved a lot of great movements in my life but I felt like its nothing special and I am not that worthy. When I see other people achieving things I felt like they are so great and worthy even though I achieved that many times I just don't feel that way sometimes actually most of the times I don't even feel like I achieved it even though I did.
I don't know how to change that.

Psych2Go i pose a interesting question what is it when your in a constant state of blaming yourself for other actions and cause pain to yourself or others when all you want is a simple person contacting you cause they care about you and not cause they benefit from you to the point of it hurts but also you dont wanna do anything cause you care about said person to much to see them suffer yet they dont seem to care that they make you suffer

I make all of these mistakes and undervalue myself. Even if logically I can understand not to do these self devaluing stuffs, I can not understand emotionally these, and still, I can not value myself. So how to start to value myself? How to start to build my self-worth? Like, start to say may-be I have self-worth, maybe all the things that make me worthless are wrong? Any way any advide on How to start to value myself?

thanks for this video; the first one hit me like oh cause I tell myself I've worked hard and achieved things, but it only helped a little bit. Now, I know it's bc I'm still worth something even when I'm not achieving something. So thanks again. I feel a lot better after watching this. (side note: the animation is beautiful & calming; such a cute style, & the little gestures & expressions rly highlight things)

1: 05! I'm realizing I struggle with my self worth when things go wrong or not as planned or envisioned. Mostly because it's so easy for me to be validated by the tasks I complete or whatever it is I accomplish. I start thinking if I didn't even produce __________ its like I don't even see myself there and then that's where more anxiety and stress come up for me.
reply

Thanks for this video, recently I've been though a lot of tough life changes. Due to anxiety, I felt that I wasn't worth it and everyone has told me these same things. Though due to my low self esteem I didn't believe them. I realize all of these problems were because of my low self worth. Now I'm going to try to move on for the better

After I graduated, I realized school taught me nothing about money. So I began trying to educate myself by watching videos like this. Also found books like the Richest Man in Babylon and began learning everything about money that I was not taught. Thanks for making this video!

This video was very helpful and encouraging since I do struggle with my self worth probably in a daily basis so this taught me not to base my worth in what I do in life or how I look but to just learn to love myself the way I am great video and narration.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm awful at self-worth - I do several of the things you mentioned - but even though I don't know how, I'm trying to improve, and this video definitely helped remind me of that, so thank you v

Maybe I'm just a dinosaur but I cannot take social media seriously at all. It's a joke. When you have presidents using twitter I just feel like telling them to grow up and get off it, they're not a teenager.

You are more than the choices that you make, you are more than the sum of your past mistakes.
You are a living force to be proud of what youre doing to make this your best life.
IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO YOU!

reply

Nah trust me, I'm a scrap of society without any useful skill, i feel stranded in a world that doesn't need me to go on, i just stopped caring about myself and doing things not for me but for others
reply

What if you don't know what makes you happy. Gaming keeps me seeing I can do well at something but it does help me love myself in anyway just feel like someone is actually caring how I do.
reply

Basically if you don't have the things mentioned in this video, just try to focus only on yourself ans avoid all thongs that can hurt you, like social comparison and social media.
reply

When I saw the thumbnail, it hit something deep inside of me. It said, 'You're worthy'. I always say to myself, you're not worthy enough, you don't deserve to live.
reply

Yea, I struggle with the childhood thing, not because of me thinking I can control my parents, but because I feel like it's all I have, no matter how much pain I may be in.
reply

The animation in the videos are cute and adorable. Nice singing voice by the way. In truth, these videos are helping me overcome insecurities. thank you.
reply

It's crazy how I judge myself on almost all of the things in the list daily and I make myself suffer for no reason but my negative thoughts.
reply

Spending time with the source causing someone to laugh, and feel inspired to be themselves. I love creating. Nice Voice
