Bruh. I have never dated anyone ever. and I am 23. But is it bad that I relate to ALL of these love styles? I thought this video would be about how people love. I like to show physical forms of affection and I didn't know until I was older because my mother always taught me to keep my hands to myself. Now I have a younger niece and my favorite way to show her affection is to stroke the side of her face or smooth down her hair. To kiss her forehead and to hold her close, it was when I was stroking her face that I realized why I was never able to connect with anyone on another level easily. I struggle with talking to new people and how I show affection is touch so because this society is one that focuses on hands to yourself and just a no touchy feely vibe in general I was raised being told that showing affection isn't okay. However this video calls into play every childhood trauma I forgot I had and I feel like all of these apply to me in different ways and varying amounts.

I think, I relate to most of them, but I'd say I'm more of the Pleaser. It's mainly based on my anxiety of myself and how my older siblings were doing far greater than I was in Highschool, showing no limits to what they can do, e. g. getting impressive grades in highschool on there exams like Grade 9s and 7s. I was left being limited to 4s and 3s, which, to me, are unsatisfactory compared to my siblings. Depressing as it may sound it makes me hate what I'm capable of if these grades were my limit at the time. And no matter how hard I tried, I was still stuck and eventually felt giving up most of the time. I have Asperges or Autism ASD, and found this condition to be what limits me and makes me feel so resentful towards myself. I'm sensitive, unfocused, lacking in understanding social queues and find it hard to read people when they're joking unless it's obvious when they're laughing along.

Just had a conflict with my husband and this video came as a nice guidance.
I am the vascilator. I have the most loving husband and today I got upset because he judged me about my eating something unhealthy. It felt like an endgame to me. I feel so disrespected because even though I have told him to never comment on my food, he judged me and then told me how wrong it is to eat something I was trying for the first time.
He is the controller. This video helped me understand why he wants things a certain way and why he suddenly feels angry.
Now I am less angry with him. Thank you for making such educating videos.

Um okay so what if your a little of all? I grew up in a split home and my dad was never really there and me and my step mom fought all the time because I was super defensive and protective of my little brother and my step dad was an abusive alcoholic to me and my mom and my mom was always a submissive type so I raised myself and my brother and was there for my mom plus I had bad men in my life to so I see I little of myself in all those. Which type am I though?

I am a pleaser so I don't like conflict so when I was in the same room with two of my friends who were arguing(they were sisters)and the older was comparing her little sister to me, I felt super bad(I am also super sensitive to feelings)and I started crying but not loud crying it was just quite crying so they did not know and since I was sick they thought I was just not feeling good, anyways it was super hard on me and umm that's it.

I'm a pleaser, I believe. I show my affection through buying things for people and doing it to the point that I could buy them a $50 t-shirt and be fine with it. But gifts don't make me feel loved, I only feel loved in a relationship through praise and physical affection like hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Luckily I have a great partner who understands me.

I m an avoider initially. till i can get comfortable with the person, once the comfort level is established it's all normal n yea as a child emphasis was given on being independent, also because out of the two siblings i am the elder one so i had to be a lil more independent that happens naturally as the elder child in the family

I'm definitely a mix between the victim and controller. Coming from a loud home with a lot of constant yelling, I'm afraid of reflecting that pattern onto my partner. I think the biggest thing is knowing we are different people and have the ability to continue to try and shape ourselves to be better for the people we love

I am 1, 2, 4, and 5. It makes it hard to open up to people, and incredibly hard to confront problems. Because I get angry at times but am also a pleaser and victim I just spiral and feel the need to do anything I can to please my partner, even to the point of making promises I know I can't keep
reply

I'm the type of controller but my parents are not even toxic. They are just chill, sweet and care-free people for me. Why am I always connected with those psychological trumas while my childhood is literally fine. Idk man I'm lost now
reply

Ybh, i actually thought this was unreliable at first two types. I was about to turn off the video when i suddenly pressed on the pleaser part and i found everything has been stated so clearly and now i know what condition am in
reply

All of these is like me. maybe that's why no one really cares. But whatever I have my own world. It's just that I wish the world would be more understandable so that I won't have to worry about all their judgements
reply

Im kind of every single one of them, a perfect balance i would say, some are slightly more than others since nothing is perfect but im surprised that i didnt really resonate with just one or the other
reply

Im a pleaser, but I put that on my self, not my parents. I grew up in a loving home and my family is very well connected. We all have a great relationship but I always want to be better than I am.
reply

Oh wow, I got a whole luggage from different styles. Thanks to these videos I get new knowledge to discuss with my therapist. Its gonna be quiet a long session I guess
reply

4: 30 I am a pleaser but I grew up in a very loving home I was treated nicely and they cared for wt I think and I loved them but I still am a pleaser 4: 30
reply

im the pleaser because i make sure everyone's happy because im scared they will get mad or something and leave me so i try to make sure there happy
reply

This might sound like a completely strange combination, but I related to both being a pleaser and a vacillator, what does that mean?
reply

So which one am i suposed to pick if all of them sounds like me and the parents in all are almost exactly like what your perants are
reply

i think i also have the victim one too because i need someone to control something because i dont know what im doing so i get scared
reply

I'm definitely a pleaser and victim cuz those fully described my experience with my parents, family, life and myself
reply

In the avoider since I dont really express feelings so much a lot if times I just avoid expressing my emotions
reply

why the hell this video kept popping up on my feed? I belong to the first category. But I changed myself.
reply

Psychologists think that parents are the only people who affect the childhood of a child thats totally wrong
