Hello Psych2GO and other readers! I have a question for you people at the end of this comment, because I need help for the heavy void feeling in my cheast, and it feels like a bad heart condition. While it's proved in hospital there's no physical cause, but it hurt so bad and it feels sucked empty en restless and nasty.
I'm happy with this video because this is the first time I hear from the (very nasty) void feeling in the cheast. Like my heart is heavy/empy/very slow beating and the whole cheast area feels painfully numb. After childhood trauma i'm very sure this has to do with that.
Especially I relate and guess the void feeling in my cheast within myself, like it's caused by emotional neglect by people, people who were there at the moments of mental/emotional/physical abuse, but didn't help me to stop the abuse by others, and ignored me, and the ignored the abuse of the others towards me, and void cheast is related to the situation of being isolated and ignored by some (narcistic) people in generally. So the feeling like: It doesn't make any difference for people if I exist on the earth of not.
For people who watched this video and recognise the void cheast feeling, I have 2 questionis:
-How do you cope phisically with the void cheast pain? Because it's so difficult to find something that helps.
-And what are the causes in your past, so what caused the void feeling in the cheast, abuse and/or also other causes? Because I think I have also blind spots, and lack of certain insights, what causes the void cheast feeling and other psycho-somatic complaints.
Thank you so much, and I wish for everyone happiness without abuse, a future of love for life, and contact with nice people!

Childhood trauma is definitely of loads of types. Mine is I suppose a less discussed one. I get love from both my parents yes i fight with them sometimes but its never serious. However my mum and dad fought all the time growing up. There were points where they might've divorced even. Now parents not getting along is fine not all marriages work but their fights were loud. not a single day went by where i wouldn't wake up due to them screaming at eachother. And another thing was if they would divorce i would have nowhere to go as im not at all close with my dad and my mums a housewife. So had they divorced i might be stuck between a rock and a hard place. The constant anxiety that what I have right now might not be there if my parents continued fighting. So i spent a lot of my childhood helping them solve arguments listen to them complain and i just hope no other kid has to go through something like this.

Idk if having the lack of freedom can be considered as a traumatizing event for a kid. When I ask to go outside and play, they always say no. So I just sneaked out once to maybe play outside but got caught and got hit by a broom. So since I knew that i shouldn't go outside, I invited my neighbors' kids to our house. But got hit again with a broom, and didn't cry because I already knew my fate. And now, for my 13 years of existence, I didn't get to play outside freely. I'm afraid of my parents. There's still this tiny me inside that wants to play outside. But I couldn't. I'm afraid they might beat the crap out of me if I do. I'm afraid of what'll happen. I know that this'll scar me till I am 18. I have dreamt of growing up because I thought if I get older, maybe I can go outside. And to me, that's so sad, and I pity myself for dreaming of just going outside.

Ah yea I tend to cheer up others or help them through their tough time.
I dont want them to be sad beating themselves over something.
Its because I've been down in the deep and know how that feels when no one was there to help me out and I decided to take it upon myself to settled them. The hardship and hurt i faced doing so makes me wanna help other, they shouldn't have to go through that/someone need to help those and Im tired of waiting for that someone. I will be that someone for them. Tho the downside for that is if I made the person if I'm the one that cause them trouble by my actions
I'm sorry for overstepping my boundaries and trying to help.

And sometimes you feel like you need to protect your sibling, and to tell on one of your parents makes you sick, stressed and frightened. that robs you of your childhood and you are quite aware of it. as an adult, you now feel robbed and the parent has no idea or at least they do not acknowledge or validate what went down in the early years as that would make them accountable. it is difficult to have a proper parent /child (no matter how old you are ) relationship, but there never really was a relationship, sad but true, they were my parent and I was the child, no emotional attachment it seemed. at least it taught me how NOT to be!

the empty/emotional neglect was very relatable Ive always felt empty. Ive often been described by my mother as emotionless or un-empathetic. Ever since I was 6 I decided I dont need emotions because they made me feel weak everytime I got yelled at by my mother. Eventually I felt just like a shell but even after that I am still angry but Im just missing something. Ive dealt with it my whole life and I cant say that Im happy but Im not overcome with emptiness and anger everyday its just a part of me thats been haunting me forever.

My problem is that my therapist says that I show a lpt of signs of trauma and a lot of the things I am addicted to doing (MD) are also caused by childhood trauma, I developeed a horrible memory and don't remember much from my childhood so I don't remember anything that could've happened to cause trauma.
MD (Maladaptive Daydreaming) tends to cause confused and mixed up memories and replaces bad memories with more easy to digest ones so I might've smusged it from my consciousness but I still subconsciously have memories of my childhood.

Thanks for making this video, I don't remember anything unther the age of 10, even though I'm 16, I think my mind tried to protect me from memories and thoughts I'd prefer to forget. I do know I was bullied, but that's all, I have a really complex personality, I tend to avoid humans but I make jokes all the time, where some of those are probably really mean. People saying mean thinks to me or saying I'm a a-hole (Wich is kinda often) doesn't affect me at all. If anyone read this thanks for reading it all

I just want to get some reviews on this
I hate rain cause it always remind me of a unpleasant memory in which my mother locked me in the house the whole and didn't allowed me to play because I didn't wanted to study that day and wanted to watch t. v it happened with me when I was around age 3 and it's still crystal clear in my mind and it was raining all day So whenever I watch it always makes me sad
Is this anything serious or just me victimizing myself.

The worse thing ever about childhood trauma is feeling that you are responsible for everyones pains. I really dont want anyone to go through anything worse than what I did. If someone hurts themselves, I have to hurt myself and it HAS to be more painful then whatever they felt, otherwise I've failed in life. The feeling is worse when it's your favourite person. I really hope someone feels the same, I feel so alone with it.

Im still a kid, and I just realized a week ago that my childhood has just been robbed. I only got 6 years of being a child with no worries.
Someone, ehm, they kind of rvsped me. Not really. but now I feel. Like i dont know. He was 7, I was 5. I feel bad for him, how did he know about that at that young age? But, I was 6 when I learned about it. I thought it was cool, but now I wish I still had no worries.

Hmm, I know my mother tried hard to give me a good childhood. I don't really blame her for the decisions she had to make when growing up. And my father, though not a good dad when I was young, had spent the last decade trying to make up for it. I would prefer to know ways to get past any childhood trauma my sister and I went through. She seemed to have taken it much worse as an adult.

One time in kindergarten, i accidentally hurt one of my friends, the teacher then locked me in a dark room and no matter how much i begged, she would not let me out. Then when i was stepping on bugs, she layed me down and almost broke my neck with her foot, honestly, i never told anyone until now because i was scared of what she would do to me next, i think i have PTSD

Me: .
My friend: It was a joke!
Me: Please don't joke about that.

Im still trying to come to terms with it. Im in no way going to share details, for it contains topics that are triggering. I get flashbacks from what happened and hallucinations of my absers frequently now. I never was taken seriously or believed until recently, but i can barely remember enough to really work through it.

Honestly this calls a video that talks about the Golden child Syndrome.
Pov: I'm not saying being a good child is a bad thing but from what I've been through, suppressing your child like self just because you want to please your parents or you don't want cause them trouble is just the best way to have a stolen childhood.

I didn't think I'd relate to this list until I heard the emotional numbness part. I think that happens to me. I'll have random times, particularly around my parents, where I'll just sort of zone out and feel like I'm watching the convo from third person. It's really weird and I've caught myself doing it at school too.

Thank you for all the support over the years. We get many emails each day and read some really touching and sad stories. This is a topic that we feel is dear to us. And we hope that can help raise awareness for those who may have experienced any of these signs. Do help us share this video as well if you can! Thanks!

Yes everything at my childhood is robed by people around me, the most annoying is how I become had a perfect memorized those events in such details, why I can't just hate them? Why it's hard to hate them? The hatred inside still there consuming myself but I still can't fully hate them. This is worst than u hate your ex.

Me to a T! I pretty much lived a sheltered life, only having anything resembling social interaction at school and at family get-togethers. I was never allowed to go to friends' birthday parties or have friends over till I was in 7th Grade. And they all wonder why I am still an awkwardly quiet person today

One of the biggest doses of the reality of my childhood has been when my grandma told me that I should try to get close to my friend's families, and essentially have their parents act as mother/father figures, since my parents were likely to either steer me in the wrong direction or not help me at all.

i was waiting for this video for a long time, i used to suffer from all of that but i can happily say I'm past it. I'm even in a romantic relationship with one of my closest friends. maybe my thought process is always expecting the worst but I know it won't happen, they're just thoughts.
