1 - sometimes, sometimes it's poor in general even if I'm not worry, In contrast sometimes anxiety make me focus more for example studying before the exam. the anxiety that make be less focused is social anxiety.
2 - yes, I'm not impulsive most of the time.
3 - yes yes YES.
4 - I used to be. but I'm not that much now. still prefer being alone while doing or maybe being around people i know. but I'm OK with eating in front of foreigners.
5 - MIGRAINE, I don't think it's related to ADHD or anxiety. usually my headache get trigger when i do something wrong like not sleeping well or smelling gasoline, smoke. sometimes idk why. as for dizziness well, when there are a lot of people around me i got dizzy while trying to understand what is going on. then I escape to my fantasy world becoming s blind about my surrounding.
6 - NO, i still have my problems even if I'm alone and for the hyper-focus state i think it's a curse and a bless in the same time. for example sometimes while I'm doing an exam the teacher announce something and i do not hear a word because I'm hyper-focused in the paper.
Idk if head ADHD type bi (ADD, or anxiety. I used to believe i have bipolar II because of Depression - hypomenia episode.
Then i start to study about MBTI type indicator and and i conclude that I'm an INFJ that is stuck in NI-TI loop and unable to focus with the surrounding because of inferior Se
now I think I had a regular depression with ADHD. this is the problem with self diagnose i know that i have a problem but i can't identify it. and I'm too broke to go to the psychiatrist. the depression is gone now after 5 years but I'm still can't accomplish any think because of that whatever it is.

I have ADHD and ASD. Ive learned that both disorders can cause anxiety but anxiety cannot cause ADHD or ASD. Ive had ADHD and ASD my entire life, but I didnt start feeling anxiety until middle school and high school, when socializing became more complicated. My anxiety can be controlled and sometimes feels like it goes away, but my ADHD and ASD are never going to go away. As Ive grown up, my anxiety has become not as prevalent as Ive learned got be more comfortable with myself. Now most of my anxiety comes from a bad social situation, normally caused from my ADHD and ASD. So I know I dont have an anxiety disorder, but my ASD and ADHD can make me feel symptoms of anxiety.
However, I know there are people with Anxiety Disorders that are chronic and will never go away as well. As someone with ADHD and ASD, I will never understand what its like to have constant anxiety but I can understand the symptoms to a degree because I have experienced them due to the social problems that come with ADHD and ASD. Im glad that this video exists to help people understand the difference. Also I am aware that people can have both ADHD and anxiety.
This video is great. I was wondering if you could do a video describing the difference between ASD and Anxiety at one point.

Long post because I need to vent. (The TLDR is anxious people with adhd are a thing, and it's frustrating to deal with) It's very difficult for me because adhd and anxiety are not mutually exclusive, but can actually stack on one another for some very debilitating confusion, stress, and worry. Even when I'm calm It's sometimes hard to get things done because I hyperfocus on one thing when I should be doing something completely different and then suddenly I'm freaking out because I spent the whole day playing guitar (which I enjoy very much) and forgot I was supposed to do my homework, or meet up with a friend. It makes my friends think I'm flaky and they get upset that I don't show up, then I feel guilty about it later. Plus it makes it so hard to organize tasks by myself because what I end up doing is spending 3 hours making some over elaborate plan because I get lost in what I'm doing only to realize I just spent 3 hours making a totally unrealistic schedule. Hyperfocusing tends to throw off my plans so often that I found it necessary to set alarms to snap myself out of it, but sometimes I'll just absent mindedly turn it off and continue what I'm doing only to realize I messed up 2 hours later because it got dark outside or something like that.

I feel so lost most of the time! I can relate to the points in this video but also to the experiences of other ADHD content creators. I just wish June would come faster! I made an appointment with a therapist and hope that they can help me. I'm zooning out on the most unfitting times (for exemple while I'm DRIVING. I have problems with staying focused in class and tend to talk with my classmates, am on the phone or scribble something. I procrastinate so much (for exemple I still have till June for my projects but can't bring myself to work on any of them. I think I can work on it tomorrow and still prioritze other chores) that I have problems to fall asleep at night because I think of the things I should do or should have done. And yes, I overthink way to often how others see me eventho I don't have extreme problems to talk to someone (I'm ambivert, I'm more the extrovert person when I'm with other people. I don't know if anyone can relate, but I feel that it's getting out of hand and I need help. Hopefully time flies by till June.

Thank you! This hits home big time! I am always so distracted and often procrastinate! I know I have anxiety & probably even worse than ever! I never used to be this way. My whole life Ive had a lot of friends, acquaintances, and a good life for the most part. Then it came time to take care of my parents completely by myself until they passed. I lost a lot of friends at that time. You find out who your real friends are when youre going through hard times. No family anywhere near & many good friends moved out of state. Ive never found it easy to ask for help because Ive always been self-sufficient.
Now I feel total anxiety AND depression; I feel that way right now just typing it. I feel mortified of my predicament & dont even want to be around anybody. Im always feeling so distracted & cant accomplishing priorities. I often ask myself What is wrong with me! I feel like I have PTSD
So many of us need this info so thank you!

I actually have both (have been diagnosed, and it's awful
There's absolutely nothing worse than trying to be social, absolutely missing the social ques you need, and then feeling that existential dread over people getting angry, misunderstanding or getting annoyed with you because of it. It just makes you want to shut down, and avoid the conversation entirely, but those might be friends, or people you can't avoid talking with, which makes the situation worse sometimes, because anxiety will make you try harder out of stress, and that stress will make you shut down, become agitated, and not want to speak even more than just the anxiety itself would, be aise you're now stuck in a situation where you absolutely do not understand how to proceed, and don't want to make anyone upset or risk making the situation worse.

The part about the genuinely enjoying stuff got me kinda questioning myself cause I can both hyperfocus then suddenly be distracted at the same time, but then when Im home, and listening to music I get so scared of my dad coming up and finding me jumping and singing in my room or just generally doing anything while listening to music so when I listen to music or just a movie I picked up the habit of leaving one headphone off my ear even though it hurts cause I have glassesand I always worry about not hearing him then having to explain why I couldnt hear him and all that jazz. But I can have really bad impulsivity from time to time depending on what is it or where I am. soyea thats my personal question and thoughts lol

So I struggle with focusing and when I paint or do something productive i usually zone in to it so deeply that when I snap out of it its either because im done or my mother or father has been screaming at me.
But then again I do have headaches, nausea and dizzy ness im a shy eater( dont feel comfortable eating in front of other poeple) I'm very sensitive and everyone calls me weird.
I gist wanna say bless the 5 or so kids that gist treats me normally and. imma cry with a: '- smile
I have ADHD but I thought that all the other stuff headaches, nausea and dizzy ness /shy eating thing was all apart of ADHD but now I know so thank u

I'm wondering if I have ADHD
I usually tend to reminisce or day dream for about 5sec (I think) a lot, but I can handle it by focusing more on what the teacher is saying by mentally imagining things. But sometimes I just can't focus when I'm mentally tired and the things the other person is saying seems to just slip by me.
In the first place I tend to daydream a lot, and it's sort of like a routine for me to imagine what if's after reading something. You can say day dreaming holds a special part in my life, I at least spend 2 hour doing it but almost 24 hours a day if you involve all the visual imagining i do.

Thank you for your amazing videos, it makes me realize that there's a lot of stuff I relate to and that I can talk about it to my psychiatrist, and psychology/mental disorders has always interested me. I know, it's not the topic of the video but I just wanted to talk about it, hope you'll continue doing this and that you're doing great! :)

I was recently diagnosed with GAD while looking for and ADHD diagnosis. I was told My cognitive functioning isn't impaired enough for it to be ADHD so I MUST be distracted because of Anxiety, right?
The points in this video just prove my need for a second opinion. I don't relate to any of the Anxiety points listed here.

not diagnosed with anything but uh anxiety, but my impulsivity is drawing all over a workbook or flinging a pencil across the room- and when watching stuff i tend to sit up or talk about little things and laugh at it constantly without needing to.
I also cannot stop myself from constantly talking to others during classes

For the past year I've been wondering whether or not should I get myself diagnosed. I'm 22 and struggling with so many thing, even university. But I have no idea how to consult this with my parents. At times I wonder if it's just me or if I'm actually suffering from something.

While this video is informative it is also worth mentioning that you can have both adhd and anxiety disorders. Its not just a one or the other and there are many people who struggle with several different mental issues at the same time.

Am I the only one whose anxiety leads me to check out mentally of everything due to the stress and eventually wind up in depression? Anxiety seems to be the doorway to depression, which is scarily getting increasingly suicidal.

Yeah, I'm definitely more towards the anxiety side, since I'm worried of accidentally doing something bad at something or to someone while looking for a good outcome at the same time in attempt to stay optimistic.

It was extremely helpful. I really started considering that I might have ADHD. Lots of symptoms match. But this video helped to distinguish them. Its still plain old anxiety for me and no magic pill.
