It heavily depends on your relation to the person.
I believe a psychpath would be most dangerous if it is a stranger or someone you only interact with on the surface level. As a workplace college, your hairdresser or waiter, the worst nightmare. But if they are close to you, it wont take to long to identifi them since they leave only burned ash in their wake. They dont hide the destruction they cause, they revel in it. So while they can be VERY dangerous if close, they are spotted and avoided easy.
A sociopath or dark empath is more dangerous, the closer they are to you. Family, friends or relationship partners like that will grind you down. But as a workplace college, or the cashier for instance, they cant really harm you to much. If you talk to such 'strangers' about your innner problems and life altering decisions, thats on you for trusting some percived humanity like that.
Narcisists can be damaging in any enviorment, but they are easily spottet by many people and not very good at manipulating anyone who has basic human understanding and more than 3 braincells. They are heavely dependend on good looks, if those are not constantly present, the slack they get cut by people around them for beeing self absorbd disapears in almost an instance, I saw it a couple of times, especialy at work or at social gatherings.
They dont last to long in any Team or social dynamic because they are not really part of it. They very rarely percieve themselvs as PART of something. So you simply outlast them.
But people can transform INTO narcissists which can be dangerous if it is a decades long friend you know your whole life or a family member you can not cut ties with just because they are self centered. its anoying but not destructive.
But they wont stop and you be left on the wayside every time it suits them so it can get really tough if its your partner
Any of those trades can be dangerous, but any of them can be handeld as well, again, depending on your connection to the person

I was engaged to a sociopath, i however am a compulsive people pleaser so it took far too long to recognize how abusive they were. But the volcanic instability is the thing i remember the most vividly. Constantly having to think 3 or for steps ahead in a conversation to avoid topics that could set them off, still setting them off because they added something new to the list without telling me and using that as further proof of my own inadequacies. But the other thing this video reminded me of was the justifications. A psychopath would just abuse someone and not care why, they did it because they could. By my ex would always have a reason, it's my fault they are angry, it's their coworkers fault they missed that job opportunity, it's their friends fault they no longer talk. It was never their fault, ever. The only time i ever heard them admit fault was when they were using it as a hyperbolic defence, comically and facilely taking responsibility for everything as if the very idea anything could be their fault was absurd to the point of comedy. Anyway, i'm just venting a little to help remind myself how bad they were and that i'm free now. I hope anyone else unfortunate enough to become involved with a sociopath can break free too.

it's so bad that you think your better than others for we all fall short,
Thus says the LORD:
Cursed is the man who trusts in man
and makes flesh his strength,
whose heart turns away from the LORD.
He is like a shrub in the desert,
and shall not see any good come.
He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness,
in an uninhabited salt land.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose trust is the LORD.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.
The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked;
who can understand it?
I the LORD search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.

This video is complete rubbish. Sociopath is an out-dated term and isn't used in modern psychology, it now simply falls under psychopath, which I'm not a fan of because there is a minor trait difference. Sociopaths will attempt to socially isolate you then use your previous social networks as leverage, whereas a psychopath simply has reduced or non-existent empathy. Psychopaths however, have contextually useful traits e. g. making decisions that are logical over ones that are emotionally involved. Narcissists are very straight forward, they're just self-absorbed. Lastly this dark-empath (given all previous info was trash, I want to say this is some made up buzz term. That I have not looked into 'dark-empaths' as of this comment I cannot tell. I am willing to bet it's some made up buzz term regardless.

an easy way visualize this would be picturing each of them in a position of power. before even watching, i think it goes in this ascending order of evil:
Narcissist = Every king ever, lacks empathy but doesn't seek to harm
Sociopath = A dictator who sees their people as mere resources to be spent. Doesn't care if harm is caused
Psychopath = A dictator who would not hesitate genocide his own people if the voices in their head call for it. Wants to cause harm.
Dark empath = My country's current president. Actively wants to cause harm while pretending to be an ally.
I think the dark empath is the most damage because it's a threat that does not present itself as such, in fact, it presents itself as the opposite. Wolf in sheep's clothes.

So, another BS 'type' thathas little real world bearing.
If this were an honest video it would state there is no single agreed upon definition for sociopaths and the others.
Many distinguish sociopaths as lesser psychopaths- i. e. - you lousy boss might be a sociopath, but if he's secretly murdering people, he's a psychpath.
Some claim socios are made and psychos are born.
There are a dozen or more claimed diffs too, ; none of which are mentioned. As for narcissists, anyone with an ego, healthy or not, is often labeled a narcissist and the term is so ubiquitous it really has lost all meaning since there are victim narcissists, and 2 or 3 other 'types' to the point that the terms become meaningless. As for the dark empath? Yawn.

I am an empath. Usually very giving to others in need b/c I feel what they feel. However, one time i went dark on someone. I was a predator and went after this person physically, DESTROYED them emotionally. I was going to make him disappear if you get me, it was like a horror movie and I was on the hunt. I basically chased him out of the country to get away from me. Side note, he was a serial killer, rapist. He poisoned me, but I obviously survived - I took joy torturing him. But, here's the catch, after this soon I realized I became him. It was a long road back, I literally lost my mind. Empaths, don't turn to the dark side.

The way I see it, dark empaths are mostly highly sensitive people, with a lot of empathy who are either survivors of traumas, narcissists, were raised by narcissistic or sociopathic parents, they learned how to read people and have thick skin after all theyve been through, theyve decided to switch the tables as theyd rather see others hurt than have to endure that themselves, they dont want to feel pain so they put extra protective measures resorting to manipulation, they might have been bullied, betrayed and turned into a cold opportunistic person while knowing peoples weaknesses and how they feel.

shrinks are more mentally harmfull. because when they have no clue how to repair someone. those demons simply shut people down with medicines that take away everything that made them human. with the help of big pharma of course. and some sold medicine procentages for those that provided it. thats how people that never needed it to begin with are deactivated from complaining too much. with mutliple medicines that simply take away the unique edge. or the unique toughts. or the humanity. and turn them into sleepy zombies. and that's sad. Life does not have to be like that.

It is important to know that people of these categories arent necessarily bad people because of their characteristics. Its more on the lines of if they think they will benefit they will do it not caring about other peoples losses. What opportunity one deems positive is purely reliant on the rest of their personality and their intelligence. For example one might be a dark empath but still not do immoral things because they fear repercussion. Only if the benefits outweigh the negatives one their own scale (the fulcrum might be far on either side) they will act.

My only problem with any of these is how quickly people toss the term around confidently while having absolutely no qualifications for diagnosis, thereby trivializing these terms because people feel the need to exaggerate a person's occasional fault or case of bad behavior as something grander than it really is.
Edit: People here in the comment section acting like this stuff is some kind of RPG trait to add to their personal arsenal are only proving my point on how trivialized this stuff is ending up. You are not dark empaths. You are just impressionable.

I still feel these disorders still have a place. Just not in the society we have built. So many of these people are gifted but choose to use their power for bad. I could probably fit the description of a dark empath and I feel that might be comorbid with my autism. I feel like an android. As if sometimes I do have human emotion and share beautiful moments, but I can be a reallll bastard in situation. (Btw I can say bastard. Legally my birth parents werent married; ) )

Can psychopaths feel empathy for anyone/anything? I fit the description other than the fact that I can form deep emotional connections with people and care deeply for them when I do ( a girlfriend for example) but I also lose that attachment very quickly. Other than those select few, I really don't care for anyone else or how they're feeling, and only pretend I do so I don't come off as heartless and because that's how other people act.

The dark empath is a thing. I have that ability, that tendency, myself. However, I choose to fight it. I've been badly hurt, badly betrayed on many occasions. It's one reason I can't function in a normal relationship, I'm too afraid to open up out of fear of being hurt again. Whenever I sense that someone is capable of triggering bad traits, who can push me over the line, I avoid them. I'd rather keep my soul.

It sounds like a dark empath is just a psychopath who is smart enough to observe what other people are feeling, and use it to their advantage. It just demonstrates that categorizing according to trait clusters has its limits, and individual traits all fall on their own separate scales You could take any two traits and create four categories from their combinations, and it wouldn't necessarily be meaningful.

i recently learned that my girl is capable of unusually spiteful cruelty, she knows she's being cruel, she wont tell me what i've done, no matter how delicately i approach the matter, she immediately gets angry and if i try to explain myself, she threatens to kick me out of the house, wont speak to me for a week and i go hungry. As long as i suffer quietly, she's happy and we get along well.

They are all the same. They are all human. Humans are flawed in concept and design. In fact, the flaws of humans are a defining feature of the species. If you are not afraid of other humans, there is something definitely wrong your survival instincts. And I would consider that a mental defect; far beyond just mental disorder. I consider one's lack of survival instincts a terminal disorder.

sociopaths and psychopaths can be pretty chill if they have a good framework of logic. like if they think logically and why certain things are good and bad even if they dont feel empathy or whatever from them, they can get a pseudo-moral framework to follow that basically makes them act normal and stuff. like its basically symptom management.

I think the most dangerous in a position of power is undoubtedly the psychopath. The narcissist still wants adoration and admiration from those under them so their feelings are at least considered and sometimes met. but they all suck and everyone in power today exhibits way too many of all these traits.

Oh. Now I realized that my ex probably was a dark empath. He made me feel secure and loved, seemed like he cared about me, but then he just backstabbed me real bad. And then he did it again. And again. And he knew how it made me feel.
Damn, that's scary.

Being invisible is the most dangerous factor.
If a visible bear comes to eat you, you can just shoot it.
On the other hand, what if an invisible something comes to eat you. You don't know what it is and get eaten, alive. Even if it were just a rat.

Dark empath sounds kinda badass, not gonna lie.
I always thought i had traits of the first 3 but because of my deeper connection to empathy (especially from an intellectual/cognitive pov, i never quite classified to those categories.
