I absolutely hate when people misinterpret something and give me the silent treatment and don’t communicate appropriately. I don’t expect someone to answer right away but i also don’t want to be ignored for days either. It damaged my ability to want to have connections with people. I have no desire to make friends with people let alone relationships because all people showed me is that they rather misunderstand something and be more willing to hurt somebody and take a easy way out rather than try to understand something and be a good friend. People are so quick to judge and run away and leave me so hurt and confused and that feeling damaged my ability to want to make friends again little by little more and more every time it happened. I have been shown time and time again that people don’t communicate and rather ghost me and be socially immature and cruel also don’t show any signs of remorse or even care about how their actions affect another person inside. Not caring about how people treat me is a big part of why I don’t want friends anymore. Online culture has ruined a lot and people rather hurt someone else online and say or do hurtful things that they won’t do in person just because it is easier for them. But they still don’t understand how damaging it is to the other person. I really wish there were nicer people out there. People who communicate well and don’t force just texting and actually communicate and talk. People who are not quick to take an easy way out and hurt me when something is misunderstood in a text. People who don’t leave me confused and hurt when I make a mistake. People who tell me what that mistake was so I can make it better. People who stay through good and bad days. People who have empathy and compassion and care about how they treat others and care about how their actions impact others. People who care enough to not make a quick decision and really hurt me and not care about how that feels to me. I don’t know if people care or are reasonable and fair anymore. I can’t be perfect and I make mistakes and I am the first person to be upfront with people about that. If people expect me to not make a mistake and expect me to feel good when I am ignored then I will fail that friendship. If people expect me to bottle up my feelings and emotions and not express them appropriately then I will fail that friendship. If people expect me to not have bad days and accidentally mis word something in text or speaking then i will fail that friendship. I am a genuine person and I don’t have any bad intentions whatsoever even if I do not like someone or something they did. But i am very outgoing and outspoken by nature but i am respectful and i would never insult someone or ghost anyone for petty reasons. Overall people need to understand how being unjust to others and ghosting people when they misinterpreted something damages the other person. And people need to think about how the other person will feel and think would i want to be ghosted and how would i feel if someone did that to me and realize that they don’t want that done to them so don’t do that to someone else.

Whoever made the thumbnail hang your head in shame that they weren't payed enough
I was thinking watching this one am I actually ready for a mature relationship, one where me and a partner might make each other happy
The two relationships I did get intimacy from I don't really call relationships now. Barely talked, didn't really do anything together and neither lasted long. I may have gotten bored of them quickly
So when I talk about real relationships, I'm not going to say I have any experience, it was a long time ago too
You could go the self improvement route but when you have no one of interest in mind nor feel that anyone is interested in you it drains your motivation and that can lead to what is sometimes called rotmaxing, you just eat what tastes good and lose all interest in the state of your own well being and your living space
My brother did manage to get me in the gym early last year but I was struggling to stay consistent with it
So I'm asking myself, am I ready to find the kind of relationship I've never had while still wondering if I'm good enough for anyone

reply

The reason I'm not in any relationship is because the person I love (and who loves me btw) says he will never date anyone because he once said some things to his ex partner which he can't walk out on (I'm assuming it's something on the lines of I'll always be there for you or something similar. I know he is happy when he is around me and it isn't the first time he makes an effort to be around me or to have me around him, he makes excuses to see me, etc. So I just wish he would go to therapy and talk this out. I understand it's a bit thing for him, but the promises he made in a past relationship shouldn't block his future happiness. anyways, if not for us, then for his happiness, but he gets upset if i even mention the topic slightly. he can throw it in my face though when he is upset with me because he did all this effort for me but now can't be with me because of his past

While each of these things are good to look out for in yourself and your partner, remember that identifying potential pitfalls is the first step. Seeing all of these attributes as something to avoid at all costs risks living life on eggshells, and I'm sure neither you or your partner want that for each other. The most important thing I've found in my relationship is not the ability to avoid situations, because there will always be friction. It is the ability to repair a rupture as quickly as you can identify that it is forming. The willingness to talk about what you see in yourself or in your partner will drive both of you to band against it and weather the storm together. And that is, for me, when a relationship is at its most special - when a relationship sparks growth in both yourself and your partner.

So me and my girlfriend have a wonderful relationship and something we did with ultimatums was if we had something that we needed to get done (homework or cleaning. Just simple mundane tasks) and we were procrastinating and we knew we wouldn’t get started. We would ask each other to give us an ultimatum. So for example. I really didn’t want to do my homework but it was due the next day and I had a good bit to do. So I asked her to give me an ultimatum and so she said do your homework or I won’t come over this weekend. We would never give an ultimatum to hurt the person or to control the person and have only ever given an ultimatum if the other person asks for it. It works for me and her really well but it might not work for everyone and it allows us to get our work done.

Sadly, I have to put up with people and their problems.
The only thing I asked was to not be hurt, but they always say they won't, but do.
I give many the world.
But I see, now, the behaviors of others have damaged me badly.
I'm glad I'm not in a stressful relationship with people anymore.

But the scars run deep in trauma for me.
Being considerate, everything I had to make their life easier.
It's just jealousy to my way of togetherness. How I understand things and support and still they see the problem. With being cared for unconditionally.
The only thing I can do is survive in not giving anyone what they want, by trying to make me the problem.
But this video was nicely made.

I was dating this girl for a month, she was everything I wanted. I was super into her. But she wasn't that into me the way I was into her but she liked me too. Due to some situations at her home she couldn't continue going out with me which broke my heart real bad. A few weeks later I found someone who is deeply into me and I like her too. But somehow I can't get the previous one out of my head. I keep running 'what-if' scenarios into my head which is causing me a lot of problems in work and off-work life. I don't know if this is normal or not but I'm tired of these thoughts. I'm depressed, indecisive and clueless most of the time.

What advice do you have for people, who have the feeling their time is running out I mean time to found a family. I have such feelings since my last breakup. Though I still control these thoughts by reminding myself my favourite rockstar didn't have his first child until the age of 43, it might not have a lasting effect. The pressure from society, parents and some other personal experience staff, plus seeing more and more people younger than you have children while your beard is getting white. I think this should be addressed and maybe made a topic, because I doubt I'm the only one with such problems here.

I am in a long distance relationship and I have used the ultimatum technique a couple of times. He lives in Indonesia and I live in Belgium. We've been together for 5 years already and we have seen each other two times. He keeps saying that he wants to come to live with me, but never takes serious actions with the visa. It's been like this for years already, that's why I have found myself forced to give him a couple of ultimatums, because I don't know what else to do. Right now I am not sure he will ever manage to get it here, so I am thinking about breaking up. Any advice here

Biggest mistake I can honestly say that can cause a relationship to fail is rushing the relationship because couples end up overlooking red flags and find themselves in many misunderstandings which question their compatibility. Love isn’t a race, and no one should feel any pressure. It takes time and patience to bond and grow and decide the next steps. Also, never fall in love just to fill a void, because no relationship can fix what’s missing inside you. Depending on someone else to make you feel whole, will only create a bigger hole.

Summary -
1. Angry Reaction to Criticism Responding with anger, defensiveness, or silent treatment instead of open communication.
2. Disrespecting Privacy Controlling behaviors like checking their phone or restricting their social life.
3. Self-Deprecation Constant insecurity and needing reassurance, which can drain the relationship.
4. Ultimatums Forcing choices through threats instead of discussing issues maturely.
5. Silent Treatment Ignoring problems instead of addressing them, leading to emotional distance.

It’s my bf and I’s 2 year anniversary yesterday and I feel like this a lot not only because we rarely get to see each other as an LDR couple trying to build our lives separately until we can meet somewhere in the middle of our careers and educational journeys. This feeling is a common occurrence especially during times of celebration because gift giving, birthdays, and holidays make me very uncomfortable. Neither of us expects gifts but we try our best to communicate when we do want something or are trying to schedule our next trip.

My algorithm gives me the right stuff at the wrong time, I just gave my gf an ultimatum after her friend keeps disrespecting me for way to long but then right when o go on yt I see this (the friend makes her do terrible things and tried to get her broken up with me many times so idk what to do and idk if I’m wrong or right bc the girl that keeps disrespecting me has been making my mental health rapidly decline over a small amount of time like abt 6 months)

Amazing video A month ago, my partnership of five years came to an end. The choice to break up with the person I love is something that really gets to me. Even though it's all for nothing, l've done everything I can to get him back, and I couldn't imagine my existence without him. I've tried everything to stop thinking about him, but I still can't help but miss him and think about him often. I don't know why l am saying this here.

I'm a pushover sometimes, but I think I've grown past having these specific problems. The biggest one here, for me, is accepting criticism; obviously, it never feels good, and often it makes me question how good of a person I am, even though that's not what they wanted to do. But it's purely my fault lol, and I'm okay with accepting that. I tend not react with anger or other immaturities, as that's unhelpful and draining.

I liked a guy. But he never cared about my efforts for him (he too knows that I like him. ) And somehow I have decided to focus on myself now. The thing is because of him I had ruined my mental health, my sleep, cried for him at night and so much. So yeah I'm just focusing on myself now. Even one day he'll come back to me (that 0. 01% hope, I wonder whether I'll give him a chance or not. :)

Does anyone have advice on school. High school specifically. I strive for the best grades I can but I really feel like it cuts me off from the people I care about until I feel the relief of a good grade. I’m also worried about scholarships and picking something to study once I graduate. I just feel so majorly overwhelmed with everything because in the end I’m really just a kid that needs help
reply

3: 06 If you are at the point of feeling the need to give an ultimatum, it wasn't working, will not work, and cannot work. Communication, open and honest is the way through. Sometimes that honest communication is that you are not compatible for one another. Accepting this and moving forward hurts a lot less than trying to make something that cannot work, work.

man, I needed this rn, I have this girl who likes me and I like her back. Though, I always feel so insecure when I text her everyday saying hi in a different form, and I don’t want to ask if I’m being annoying because that might be annoying too, I know she cares a lot for others (maybe even more than herself) but I just am confilicted at what I should even do
reply

Whenever I feel like we aren't spending enough time. I come up with an obnoxious request. But before I say, stop myself and ask, What do you want her to say Does it fit with their character Are you asking for too much agaon These questions saved me so many times from being overbearing. It's why I always give myself time before replying in a serious conversation.
