How Close Do You Live to a Nuclear Bomb? Fun fact: if you pick the right date, you can get MUCH closer to the ISS when you hang out at Point Nemo.
The ISS, as with most decaying satellites, will eventually fall into the atmosphere, and will be aimed at Point Nemo precisely because its most unlikely to hit anyone there. So if youre lucky, you may get to see the ISS right before it lands on your head.
I also find it funny that we are constantly dropping our space trash on Cthulhus home.

10 miles is nominally safe, you are going to get dusty but if you get clean quick, you should be okay. You do not want breathe the dust either. In a couple of decades some weird cancer is likely to get you if you happen tyo be within the fallout plume which generally extends east and a little north from where the bomb detonated across most of the USA. Consider it volcanic ash with a -kick-.

Seen one of them nuke trucks before, tgey look like a pretty normal white simi but have a satellite dish on the cab and are escorted by a couple military jeeps with 50 cal rifles attached. They dont just transport nukes though apparently they also transport other dangerous nuclear goodies as well. -

i'm more worried about bombs onboard submarines becaus these bomb can be anywhere at any time and can reach any major city within minutes (ok i know that there's people who know where they are but. a lot of people lives at less than 1000 miles from the ocean)

Does anyone realize how ridiculous it is to think that any of this is accurate? Despite all it-s flaws, I-m guessing the US government is competent enough to keep this kind of sensitive information a secret.

reply

Actually, there are missile that are capable of detonating it. I mean it works when there is fuel (radioactive metal) in it. And it is never stored while fuel in it.

I even have a device that finds my keys if I flush em down the shyter---missing nukes! Man that-s a gas rite there

You could add some info on what it takes to set off a nuclear bomb. There is a reason why all the accidental drops have not and will not go off.

Meanwhile on the Interstate 40.
'We're transporting the warheads! ' 'What warheads? ' 'THESE ones! ' -shows sour sweets- 'yum. '

I know exactly how far. 344. 4 km or 214 miles within national borders and 267. 6 km or 166. 3 miles across international borders.

Guys that-s the world we live in today. Country-s that wants to destroy each other for no reason. Why?
reply

I lost a jacket and I thought that was bad but compared to losing a nuke, it sounds like basically nothing

Much more terrifying are the Ohio class SSBNs carrying Tritons and no one knows where the hell they ever are
