Will Humanity Reach Another Star In Your Lifetime? This video almost deserves a remake with the discoveries in quantum physics that have been made in the past 4 ish year, nothing is at a stage to be used, but the concepts could potentially allow for warp travel via something similar to a hawking bridge if mastered. Granted it's theoretical and will be purely theoretical for atleast a few decades. There's also the route of AI (as in true AI) assisted research when true AI is developed, which will speed up scientific research by multitudes

Now that all the updated knowledge we have about the universe we should understand as human beings we're not going any place as far as distance even at the speed of light we should at least come to the conclusion how important are little bitty Earth is we all should worship it and take care of it instead of repeating the same thing over and over again for hundreds of years. Let's start by getting rid of our politicians that don't know too much about the universe we need new people with wisdom things will never change if we keep doing the same thing over and over. We need to get out of that circle of life that we keep going around and around repeating the same thing over and over again we need politicians to wise up step out the circle and make changes a good example for a start let's first start ending Wars forever and learn that we are all one Humanity no one's better than anyone else for the short time were put here make the best of it. I only have a 10th grade education I always thought these people that go to these highly paid colleges in schools should have wisdom and know better especially the ones who are put in power to to lead our country and the world. One more thing we are Humanity we are all here born on this little ball of Earth time for us to grow up to reality. We are all the same( human beings)

Humans could go to other stars. If they could find a way to install a receiver of electromagnetic signals far away, they could just send information that could make copies of anything they want. With that, it is possible to go to places at the speed of light. Maybe there are aliens who are trying to do just that by creating crop circles in flat fields, which present themselves as drawing boards. They might hope that we understand what they want and build signal receivers for their information. Of course, crop circles are likely to be a hoax. But wouldn't we do a similar thing if we could do it on faraway planets?

With this technology we could already colonize Alpha Centauri-s planets. How? Let me explain.
We could send thousands of robots the size of the starshot probes to Alpha Centauri-s planets. They could then prep it for us to colonize, just like what we-re doing to colonize Mars.
Did you know that sperm and eggs that have been frozen for over 20 years have been used to create babies?
We could then send frozen sperm and eggs to Alpha Centauri-s planets and incubate them.
Of course, the first batch of people would have to be raised by robots, and that sucks, but it-s doable.

It is just dawned on me that I believe our way of travel being a human being is when we are deceased, the more we understand the universe as a human you may more understand that big question where do we go when we die I'm sure it's a form of travel to another place for us this is why our life span is so short on planet Earth trees live longer than we do there's too many places to go in outer space 100 years on planet Earth is long enough-

Since 1977 we have made massive improvements in every field from computers to engineering but one thing has not improved. Space travell. Voyager 1 is still the fastest spacecraft ever launched. and it will take around 70 thousand years to get to the nearest star. So I think we can forget about interstellar travel

I love and enjoy trying to figure out the answers to all the unanswered questions instead of just being programmed on what I'm supposed to believe, I'm sure there's answers out there to be found but we need to make sure we have the freedom to think free even if it's just a thought.
reply

The answer is no. Though I don't believe the nearest solar system is near as far as they think it is. What i wouldn't mind seeing is a probe head to AC at max speed for 30 years then take a picture and see how much bigger the star system gets. That would be cool
reply

They need to be automated, maneuverable and rechargeable so we don't have to shut down their systems due to lack of power like the Voyagers. It would be a real shame if they outlived their mission and reached another star system but had no battery power left.
reply

First our brain has to comprehend how vast and deep outer space is we as a human race with a short lifespan are not going anywhere even at the speed of light if it was ever possible. I'm sure we may accomplish a short distance like going to Mars eventually
reply

Light needs around 8, 3 minutes for to reach earth from the sun. If we somehow make a spacecraft travel at the speed of light, we would reach the centauri system (the closest system to us, around 4 light years away) in no time.
reply

I will answer this question for myself before watching: unless they start serious development on that nuclear pusher plate space ship design, no noone is going to reach any other star than the sun in my life time. Atm. I am 42.
reply

someone made a model where our Sun had diameter of 7mm pea (its real diameter is 1 300 000 km. to get to another star in that scale he drove to another state, more than 200 km, so nearest star is pretty damn far from our Sun
reply

What is the point of sending these small devices to Proxima Centauri if they could never communicate back to us? It is a technological miracle that we can even barely talk to the Voyager probes at the edge of our solar system.
reply

10 billion dollars sounds like a lot, but picture this: being in student loan debt and worth less than $1. It's a very small price to pay for entertainment than completely revolutionizing someone's life
reply

The more that I am getting knowledgeable about Arvest universe with our human bodies in short life span are not going anyplace even if we can travel at the speed of light try to comprehend that
reply

Why would we humans want to visit a star? At these distances, it will take several generations on a starship just to get close. Sending probes is smart, but we can NEVER land on one.
reply

Pure fantasy. Technology has nothing to do with it, the pathetically fragile human body could never get there. Communication might become possible but not physically going there.
reply

Born to early to explore space and to late to explore earth but just the right time to explore ourselves, we will define what it means to be human before we go exploring
reply

With no engines, how will starship slowdown enough to take pics of proxima? I'm pretty sure we don't have camera shutters that can operate at anything close to 1/5 light speed.
reply

Born too late to explore the land and born too early to explore space
But born on time to explore to oceans of which 90% is mysterious still

reply

Human thinking is imprisoned, and there are other unexpected ways to reach proxima centauri. Jump out of the earth thinking and human thinking.
reply

Instead of investing in space to find other habitable place, we can use that money to safeguard the available and one&only habitable place-
reply

What I want to know is how does this sail starship slow down once it gets there? Or does it just whizz by at 20% the speed of light?
reply

The 2010s introduced advanced phones and technology, 2020s introduced a mask which keeps humans more sanitary and less likely to get sick
reply

With these incredible distances between everything, it almost seems like we-re not supposed to explore other planets and stars
reply

Why would we want to do that? Visiting another star is a waste of time. It-s too far, and it would take for ever to get there.
reply

Who would have thought the word corona at 2: 01 would carry another meaning after 4 years of this video getting published.
reply

Yeah no thanks im on this planet before i die i plan on putting my own 2 feet on another earthlike planet count on it
