Who Is the Loneliest Person to Ever Exist? Its weird that New Zealand was one of the last places discovered. The cook islands and hawaii make sense, but new Zealand is a large piece of land less than 2, 000 km from australia which has been inhabited for 10s of thousands of years.
I mean Hawaii is 4000 kilometers from the nearest big landmass (california) and 7 or 8 k from japan/papua new guinea/australia and it was discovered and settled several hundred years earlier!

> -At least there's something notable about the loneliest person. Being the second loneliest would suck even more-
- -Yorke
So the second person is the loneliest which makes the first person the second loneliest which again makes the first person loneliest person & again second loneliest & again loneliest &.
behold -THE PARADOX OF BEING LONELINESS-

I don-t get this obsession with distance when the question is about loneliness, i think you should rename the title- most isolated person ever to exist, and why is Ever Exist capitalized lol loneliness is even sadder when there are people around you but u are still socially/physically isolated: /

Unfortunately we will never know because those early explorer's died alone in far away places, trying to be the first to discover new land comes with a price. The first person to go to Mars will hold that title in the near future.

i read a history book thingy about him like 2 or 3 years ago and its honestly pretty good!

Vescovo's trip to the Challenger Deep, at the southern end of the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench, back in May, was said to be the deepest manned sea dive ever recorded, at 10, 927 meters. wasn't he the loneliest?

Imaging walking up to some random dude house with a big dog and the dog doesn't even since your presence. I could just walk up to you a touch your hair and you wouldn't even notice - welp

Can we all take a minute to appreciate how bold and intrepid the Polynesian explorers were? Some of the wildest mad lads to ever exist.

What about the people on the deep sea challenger, in the Mariana Trench, wouldn-t they be over 11, 000 meters away from civilisations?

You can live alone, alone you have space for you and peace
But you cant be lonely, it destroys the mental health of people

What about the deepest point in Ocean? If a person dives into it using some hi tech submarine, would he still not beat 3585 km?
reply

Really feel like this should have been measured by most time in isolation, rather than most distance from other people.

Pretty sure Matt Damon was more isolated. I watched this great documentary about how he got stranded on Mars for a year

All those people were with other people though, except for that one dude in Antarctica who had the rest of his crew die.
